I did, and this other guy, another Alex, helps me try to score a phone card on the way into town. No success, but did pick up rum, coke, and 2 lg. bottles of water. Then the dude offers to lend me his spare cell phone for the week, for 20K.

Il Forno was a nice enough place, not hi-end, more like comfort food. Ordered a half of Argie red, water, a bruchetta with anchovies, their special house salad (huge) and a carne/pollo/champignon lasagna which was tasty enough. With tip it was 68,600. Back in the appt. by 8:40. Fell asleep watching the tube only to officially retire at 10:30.
