Part One

Please excuse the shotgun blast appearance of this report. I've been in Pattaya for almost 3 weeks now and many ideas are jumbled together. Mostly I'm just gonna comment on observations I've made. This is my third trip to Thailand, and this time I skipped Bangkok altogether. I didn't want that madhouse on this trip. Bangkok is great fun, but this trip is just laid back. Pattaya is a great place to just lay back.

Beer bars vs. Go-go's vs. Soapy Massages

In my opinion, the best bang for your buck comes out of the millions of beer bars. The atmosphere is way more laid back, the prices cheaper, the barfines cheaper, and the ladies are much more willing to please than anywhere else. I have plenty of money with me, so spending some of it is not a problem for me. I have about 20 bars I have stopped at regularly while just walking around. It's hot here, and a little cold refreshment is always nice. At several of these, I have even gambled for my drinks and spent very little money. It goes like this--I'll put my drink up against four or five lady drinks playing that little dice game they have at every bar. And, lucky me, I have yet to lose once. It stirs up excitement in an otherwise dead bar, as the ladies have to all chip in for my drink if they lose. Usually I end up staying for a few hours and end up buying several lady drinks for them anyway. If it's late, they'll usually drink shots or beers. If you can get a beer bar drunk, you are in for a good time. On several occasions, I have just bought a bottle of good booze and brought it with me to the bar. The chicks will end up polishing it off and it will become a very "happy" bar. And if I choose to take a lady, they will vie for my attention in some very interesting ways. Bar fines at all these beer bars is 300 baht, and they ladies will usually offer to go with me for 1k baht. If they start at some crazy price like 2k, I just remain silent and it has always comes down to 1k baht. There are some real stunners hidden among these bars if you take the time to look for them. But more than looking for a stunner, I look for someone who's fun to be around. I'll take an interesting 7 over a boring 9 any day.

Some caveats: 1)Always have something to say like "I go to Bangkok in 2 days" or something like that because if you are fun and generous like I am, they will not want you to shake them loose. Particularly now, when Pattaya appears to be the slowest I have ever seen it. When these gals have a paying customer, they don't want to shake loose of them. So if you use phrases that set a two-day maximum (or whatever length of time you desire) they will leave easily and painlessly, with no big scene. Everybody who has ever been here before has learned how to avoid this big scene in one way or another. Nothing like an angry or hurt bargirl being cut loose. This one saves face for everybody. But if you're not actually going to Bangkok in two days, you have to pay attention to #2.

2) Don't choose beer bars too close to your hotel or on streets you walk on frequently. These girls have eyes like eagles and will see you coming a mile away. If you have taken a girl from one of these bars, you will "belong" to her and all of her friends will report on your coming and goings, particularly if they see you with another girl. This will unleash a string of questions I like to avoid, if possible. I like to choose bars from the middle of the block on one of the side streets. I have found a number of very enthusiastic women in these bars. They have less foot traffic and being that Pattaya is so slow right now, you may be her only customer for several weeks. That ratchets up the girl's desire to please quite a bit. A number of these girls have serviced me four times in a night (about my max, even with Vitamin V). And they are quite willing to try just about anything you throw out at them. One even have me a fantastic blowjob right on the balcony of my hotel in broad daylight. One that stands out was named Was from a little bar on Soi 13/1. She was extremely enthusiastic in the sack, and she really got into it. She was always waiting for me to get hard again so we could do it again. I mean that girl wore me out. She still owes me 500 baht, so I'll be sure to go see her again heh-heh.

So, to reiterate, beer bars best value for the money, though it may take time to find the girl to suit you. And the way I do it, tipping heavily and being generous with the drinks may ultimately cost you more money. But it's worth it because the service you receive in return will pay off infinite returns. And even if you don't take a girl, you will have made friends in the bar.

Go-go's

These are my least favorite venues, but I know a number of people here who love them. To me, they're far more expensive. Barfines generally 600 baht. One place on the south end of Walking Street wanted 800 baht. For checking out a lot of hot chicks, often in the nude gyrating to a beat, they can't be topped. There are some fantastically hot chicks in these places. Some want 3000 baht to go with you, many places go for 2000 baht. I like a petite, skinny girl on occasion. My experience, however, is that these young hotties are far more stuck up. They can get lots more men and they know it, and they make vastly more money than the rest of the girls in Pattaya and they know it. In general, they'll give you a good tumble but will come up with very creative excuses why they gotta split about 10 minutes after you finish. I've had several already setting up the reasons why they had to scram in an hour even before we got to my hotel room.

Last night I took a girl from Betty Boop (can't remember the name) and we ended up having a scene in the market about her splitting so soon, after she had assured me she wouldn't. I paid her 1500 baht right out in the street and told her I'd be in to talk to the mamasan tomorrow about this (luckily I had given the mamasan some perfume and earrings I sell). It really pissed me off. The threat must have worked, though, because about 5:30 am the hotel rang my room and told me that Ana was in the lobby and wanted to come in. She came up and this 21 year old with a fantastic body did me up, down and sideways. I mean aggressive. We did it 3 more times before 2 pm when she left. She had this muscular contol of her vagina that was just out of this world. She let me pound away for awhile and then she would giggle and say "you finish now" and squeeze that heavenly squeeze and I'd be done in 10 strokes. I had such a good time I gave her another 1500 baht just for the hell of it. And I guarantee I'll be back to see her again. A good tip: take care of the mamasan. In fact, last night's experience may get me rethinking my idea of go gos.

Soapy Massage--If you've never had one of these, try one. The hottest girls are at PP's, and they go for 2k baht. Sabailand and the other one are 1800 and 1600. Be careful, because sometimes the guys in the front try to jack the price up on you. All the massage places are relatively close together, so you can always just leave. Don't let anyone charge you more than that. The service is quick, but good. In my opinion, you get your money's worth. Hot sex and a good scrubdown by the lady. Some mediocre massage thrown in. You don't have to tip, I think, but I generally choose the same girls and tip generously, so my 3rd and 4th and 5th trips to see them generally are vastly better than the first time I saw them. Like people in any profession, they see possibility in repeat business.

And something interesting happened that has never happened before in Thailand. I had a girl in a soapy named Plum and was back for the second time to see her. I asked her what she did for fun around here. She works for a month and gets 2 days off. On her days off, she goes to her room and drinks and watches TV and sleeps. She's never been anywhere or done anything. Not for 9 months. She went to the same restaurant every day after work, shopped at the same grocery store. For 9 months. I gave her a card with my Thai phone number on it. She said she would never call me but I gave it to her anyway. Two days later, Plum sent me an SMS (text message) asking if I knew how to ride a motorbike. I said sure. She said her friend was going to lend her motorbike to Plum for the day, and if I could drive it, she would like to see some of Pattaya. We went wild on that thing. I nearly killed us twice but we had a great time on that thing. We went to the beach. To the Wat on the Mountain. To Little Siam. Shopping. Shooting pics everywhere. It was the most fun day I have ever had in Thailand, in all my trips. This is the amazing part: She didn't let me pay for a single thing. Not for gas, not for food, not for drink, not for admission to Little Siam, not for drinking at the beach, not for drinking in Mixx disco. She did me twice during the day in my hotel, in a much more tender way than in her soapy, she stayed the night, and then we had this utterly fantastic two-hour lovemaking session in the morning before I rode her back to her apartment (she can't drive the motorbike, remember). As she was leaving, I practically begged her to let me pay for SOMETHING, but she wouldn't. So, my best day ever in Thailand, and a day I will remember for the rest of my life, and it didn't cost me a single penny. And she wants to get together again on the 15th and do it again!

Good report with some practical tips that have not been reiterated for a while. I have long practiced and preached getting to know the mamasan in any bar and it has led to some incredible encounters over the years.

Gotta love the beer bars. Doables may be relatively few and far between but with the huge number of bars they can be found. Even fussy Don Marco found the love of his life in a beer bar. Remember MaaaahhK ?

Soi 6 is another cheap alternative. We used to spend the whole day just wandering around soi 6 getting sample BJ's for the price of a Lady Drink.

Everything that you wrote sounds good. I will always continue to explore all the options that Pattaya has to offer.

Unfortunately my experiences with beer bar girls have been second rate. Many times my choices had less than spectacular bodies. I prefer to see as much as possible what I am buying. I won't stop looking into beer bars but my expectations are low. Can you elaborate which particular bars you have had very good luck in? Personally, I had good luck in a few bars at the 'mouth of Walking Street' plus a little known cluster of bars on Soi Chayapoon.

I concur with KM about Soi 6 though, it is an economical addition to the repretorie. As for soapies, I have had only 1 out of 6 good experiences. I rather have oil or thai massages with extras.

Your rule one and two are golden. Over the years I have had numerous scenes when the girl that I used a lie with caught me. On the other hand it's my vacation and the time comes when I want to monger again instead of spending even more time with the same girl. In my most recent trip I used those rules to end my time with a gogo girl and really left for AC. When I came back I went to her bar and barfined other girls. This caused some stir for me to say the least.

I agree that beer bar girls are cheaper and can be awful good, but gogo girls are good for your getting to see everything first. I think you can get good or bad girls at both kinds of venues and that as much depends on your skills of seperating the good ones out as of the venue

I take you mean betty boop in soi 6, this is a nice day time gogo, i grabbed one girl as she got of the podium, she seemed more interested in chatting to her friends than getting money of customers,but she put up with me

One thing I noticed on my last trip was that the beer bars were disappearing at a rapid rate and being replaced with convenience stores, hotels and malls. Soi 7 and 8 has 1/5th of the bars it used to have.

The bar was Betty Boum, roughly soi 13/3. There is also a location on Soi 6. I have never done anything on Soi 6, so your responses here may get me to give it a try. The girl at Betty Boum was Ana, #99. Tight.

Beer Bars are definately the way to go IMHO. Regarding #1, I like to imply that I have business in the region and will be called away when my boss shows up and requests my presence."sorry tee rak,my boss call me now"

The lighting in the gogos hides many flaws, I frequently find that once the girl is dressed and outside she looks no better than a bb girl.
Also, many bb girls are really looking for husband, especialy in Soi 7. Gogo girls are all about $$$
My first ever soapy was great but every 1 since has been a disappointment. If you have the money then better to go to the Hell Club where the results are garenteed, No hit or miss at H C

Soi 6 is short time street. They will do LT maybe? Good place to go for lunch time BJ. But the girls there are all about ST and making money. A young honey can make THB 6000 or more in 1 day, they get paid a bonus for 20 STs in 1 month. A Soi 6 hottie is unlikely to go LT before 10pm(or after she has had 3 STs already that day).

Checked out Hell Club. Didn't impress me much at all. VERY expensive for what you get. 3600 baht. Did get two shots in, though. The girls were attentive enough, and it wasn't bad at all, just a lot of money with not much out of it.

Also tried out Soi 6. Nice hottie for an afternoon bj and fuck. 1k baht seemed like great value for the money. Hit and run.

Yeah Stump, HC is not cheap. But I always go there every trip. The girls will do whatever you tell them to do for the whole 90 minutes, dont be shy. Make sure you have had viagra or Calis before hand. I went there once without a hangover and the girls got me off 4 times in 90. Dont think they were to happy about it as Im not small, but fuck'em, Im paying. You can do them as much as you possibly can in the time, that is the rules of the place.

Soi6, IMOH and with some inside info(I stayed with a soi6 girl for 2 weeks) you need to exercise a degree of caution in that street as they realy like the YaaBaa, mongers and girls alike. Never had a problem myself but have seen some crazy shit take place. A daylight hit and run strike is probably a good tactic, especialy if flying solo.
One more tip for the beer bars. Unless things have changed recently, it should be possible to pay bar for the girl and tell her to wait at the bar, then go drinking and gropping with your mates and pick her up later. So you can pick out a hottie early...5 to 8pm and not have her hanging around getting bored and running up your bar tab all night
