I was to meet up with some CH members, but my trip got all confused.. perhaps next time.
This will be a stream of consciousness, as that was what the whole trip was. I read many posts prior to going which helped me a lot, but nothing can prepare you for the experience. they say to sleep... good luck with that!
Old timers know all this, newcomers may benefit.
Toughest part for me is not geting attatched and I think the rule of not spending a lot of time with someone is key. Difficult when she approaches your ideal and your having fun.
Why fix something that is not broken?
I am not ready to go to Issan and buy her family a water buffalo, but am thinking about her too much. I don't want her to be poor, but don't want to send her money, and of course do not want her to have customers. It is posible I can be replaced for 3000 Baht. These are all incongruent and will cause a, does not compute in your heart and mind upon returning home.
Second most difficult thing is finding a woman who will go in the sun and swim. Dark skin and swimming were big negatives to most. Perhaps when I found someone who liked that it made my beach vacation easier to share.
I stayed mostly at the Grand Sukhimvit, and Landmark on BKK and the Chewing Resort Koh Sumai, and one night at Sachas in BKK. I stayed and stayed on Koh Sumai, next time a different island.
All Hotels were great. I bounced between loads of sex and falling in love twice, once hard. Do not fall in love. They stalk you with jealousy or get so inside you want to quit your job and move!
Pacific Northwest resident sweated bullets and had many a waitress wiped my forehead with a cold towel. Cute. It was 94 with seemingly 100% humidity I think. I cut all my shirts apart and bought lighter ones there. Do not overpack.
I was able to win at pool sometimes, or they let me win. Several times the woman I would choose ran the bar and was the hottest and most vibrant, and was not able to be fined. Anyone have any luck at hitting on hotel staff? They were incredibly nice looking.
Thoughts of retirement and additional trips fill my mind. My boss says not for 6 months. I spent more then I needed to, but having only 3 weeks, and this being my get away time, I am not sorry. Generousity to the women perhaps eased a bit of guilt at moving on.... I know this upsets the costs there... sorry.
I burned the candle at both ends constantly, not getting enough sleep except for a couple of periods of time when I did little else but stay in bed for long periods of time with a GFE, get up and ride on the back her motorcycle to some place to eat weird but delicious foods, do some shopping, and return to the nest. Otherwise, getting Thai massages with bbbj endings all day, then out to bars at night. Even massage women get jealous if you pick another while she is busy. It takes one payment for women here to become possessive. I went with three women at one massage place and the one I really wanted to take away wouldn't talk to me. Understandable.
They did all cheer when seeing me on the back of the motorcycle with my GF. Embarssing and sort of an ego trip. My GF smiled each time. At least they didn't throw ice and yell and scream, which I saw two times in bars where the women were tossing a Farang. The only potential violence I saw was angry Farangs. No hotility at all from Thais.
Drinks are expensive and it wasn't a good thing for me to get drunk with bargrils. They usually weren't good till morning to really play, losing out on half the time.
Money no problem. Travellers checks easy with passport. ATMs dispense 10,000 Baht in less then a minute. 7-11's every 70 meters.
Go Go Bargirls are deliscious meat markets, although mroe expensive and leaning towards short time. I did get exactly what I wanted in the short time, no pretense of GFE, just incredibly hot women and sex. Barfine 600 and 2000 ST. Wham Bahm rock my world and goodbye. This was fine. Walking down the street with her in her frilly super short bouncy pink outfit, everyone knowing where we were going, like unwrapping a present and it being what you wanted. She wanted 4000 LT.
Lólita's is real! No pretense of romance there at all, but wishing I had one around the block here!
Barfines ran me between 300-600, bargirls between 1000 and 2500 LT. Some did not like doing oral so the advice of establishing what you get before hand is wise. All like receiving oral and responded very well. Breakfast led to further involvement. I switched to bringing in fruit plates and cafe to the room after learning this. Bargirl cafe= instant coffee, 2-3 sugars, 2-4 creamers. Showers Showers Showers. 1st bargirl shower alone, then no problem. Seems they are shy at first.
What appears to be an easy relationship in person is nightmare on the phone. It won't take long till money is requested. I am tempted but resisting. In person, in context it is so easy. One realizes how few words in common are available on the phone.
Some of the most forward hottest teaasing women were the worst at the hotel. I felt I should have stayed at the bar and had them tease me all night. Compared to strip joints in the US, they do so much more in the bar. I considered making this a nights event, but the prospect of up close and personal in the hotel won out. They are very good at getting you excited. Pushy waitresses at go go bars sucked... needed to tell them to back off, not that they listened or another would take up the charge.
Ritual is everywhere, feeding and providing for Buddha, had the opportunity to go to some more involved rituals which were sweet, although for the dead. Went to a real Thai rock concert, tv star, girls screaming, same all over the world.
Why does one eat foods not normally considered when offered by a beautiful Issan woman? Now I can say I ate that and survived
. Discos seemed really nice there. Two I went to I could find dates for a month and not blink. I went with dates though so did not do this. Many, many gret women having fun all around. So hard to choose there, but somehow we manage.
Drinks at $5+ plus buying for others can get expensive so budget this into your trip if you like this. I did, except in the future would not buy more then 2 if I was going to take her away.
Wage wise we are rich there. Expense wise we are poor. Touts do not realize this and one can get caught by a freindly helper. TukTuks seemed evil and I avoided. All cabs were great and fair. Public transport was cheap and once figured out very easy. At first confusing. Favorite was riding on back of GF motorcycle drinking a latte going to a secluded beach.
Traffic is abominable, so paying for a centralized hotel may be worth it, it was to me.
Walking Street on Patayya > whatever you may want is there in droves. Literally thousands of beautiful women <and> there. Beaches are not as nice as on Koh Sumai. Koh Sumai a bit more expensive in some respects, barfines and women cheaper then BKK. Very nice beaches.
