I am Russian and I have traveled extensively for the past 2 years. I will relate my GI (general impressions) and I will provide some specific info. This report is about SA (South Africa).

SA. Cities are definitely first world. Only when you drive between them you can believe that you are still in Africa. The standard of living is quite high, similar to Western Europe, although SA is plagued by 18% unemployment. Cape Town is filled with elegant shopping malls, everybody drive and it is virtually all-white. Apartheid is gone, everyone is equal now, but I haven’t seen too many black folks in the white part of town. “Coloured” in SA means someone who is black but has some European ancestry and who is white by culture. So if you call a brothel and they tell you they got 3 coloured girls,1 African, 2 Indian and 5 white, don’t get confused. Coloureds are usually light-skinned and they are white by accent and culture. Indians in SA are obviously NOT American-Indian, but east Indians from India.

Anyway, strip joints are rip-offs, brothels are good, except for those that charge cover, newspaper ads are mixed bag, street hookers are cheap but dirty. Your best bet is a knowledgeable cab driver. I went to a brothel downtown by the name Elegance where I met a nice white girl from Namibia. She was a university student. She quoted me 500 rand an hour (10 rand=1 dollar U.S.). The price seemed reasonable to me and I did not try to talk her down. We had a great fuck and I met her the next day outside the establishment. I bought her lunch and then we went to her dorm room and fucked. She gave me more of a BF type of a fuck, very enjoyable. After that she asked for 200 rand only, I gave her a 600. She said if she could find a boyfriend who could afford to help her a bit, she would have quit her “night job”. Unfortunately I was leaving town the next day.

Durban is similar to Cape Town but a bit smaller and about 15% cheaper. Many girls (non-pros), white, Indian, coloured and black can be picked up on the beach (in season). The street selection is also better than in Cape. Also there are a lot of massage parlors that double as hooker places. GI – SA is pretty good. /If you are into steaks and wine tasting, SA is also great, safaris are so-so/.

Thanks for teh input; very litt;e information is posetd on SA. I might jut consider going in 2003. A new place is always just like my first trip to South America...I feel like a new monger all over.. Do you have a particual rplace that was your favorit of all?

Cape Town is NOT mostly all-white....

Apart from Elegance I visited a place called Cupid. It is located in Green Point (Part of Cape that is not too far from the Waterfront area). I don't remember the exact address but your taxi driver will get you there. The place had a wonderful selection of colored and white girls and offered massage and full service. They also allow to take the girls out and dont charge any bar fines. The place is friendly, clean and the girls are not pushy. I believe Cupid has day and night shifts. The day shift girls arrive at 12 midday and the night shift girls arrive around 6pm. I chose to take the girl out with me and paid 1500 rand for all-nighter.
Before going to my hotel I went with her to the Waterfront to eat. The girls there appreciate when you treat them like ladies and they give you much better sex. You get more bang for your buck. When I was in Cape Town, the Waterfront area was my favorite hangout. It is a unique place. It is a WORKING and fully functioning port and at the same time an entertainment area combining shopping, elegant and casual dining, shows, museums, massage places, fortune tellers and you name it. In all other cities of the world that I have visited the working ports are closed to the public and located far from the city center. Not in Cape Town. SA is surprisingly cheap for a developed country and if you come in season you can also enjoy wonderful beaches there. Women (even non-pros) are quite friendly since there is not enough eligible men in Cape Town. Women there would setttle for a husband 15 to 20 years older. Newspapers are filled with their ads. The language they speak is afrikaans (a corrupted form of Dutch), but they also speak English, at least half of the population speaks English fluently. Happy mongering!
