Vancouver's one of my favorite cities. The City is gorgeous and diverse. Many more Asians up there than you'd think. Great restaurants and nght life. Whistler ski area is about 2 hrs away and Victoria Island is one of the most bucolic and quaint areas around.

The US dollar is still relatively strong to the Candadian dollar, i.e. 140 Canadian (common ST rate) is about $131 U.S.

As for the Hobby, Vancouver is probably Under the Radar, but I've always had some great pulls, especially his trip. Lots of hottie talent up there now.

Here's a brief primer.

IMO, the best board up there is PERB (Pacific Escort Review Board) which has a healthy review section (providers participate). Toronto has TERB and Montreal has MERB. Many references to good providers and ripoffs.

Interesting thing was they actually utilize Craiglist more there, the PERB guys were good at reviewing a provider by identifying her as CL 1234 (#s are the last 4 digits of the phone number). Found some stunners that way on Craiglist, which is usually off limits here. Some great massage action and some totally hot French Canadian spinners to boot. So much competition that gals are doin 45 minutes for 140 canadian (often w/BBBJ).

ED: I realize Craiglist is the shits down here, and some of you have noted that to me. But as I said before, its worked for me in Vancouver and several other cities. If the gal is not as advertised, I just walk. Honest to god, the two ads above produced 3 of the hottest gals I've seen in quite some time now. Plus, the dudes on PERB will identify the ripoff numbers.

All in all, Vancouver is about 2.5 hrs from So. Cal. and a world away in many other respects. It's worth a visit IMO.

It used to be that Victoria was more the place than Vancouver for P4P; I don't know if that still holds.

In any event, it's good to see Vancouver has some good offerings. My recollection is that incall is illegal but escorts are not. At least that used to be the case; I remember some incall places in Victoria getting busted perhaps fifteen years ago. OTOH, I remember some sort of legal challenges to the prostitution laws in Canada and don't know whether this changed anything in British Columbia.

Anyway, I'll have to check out one or the other sometime soon. I'm also thinking about a trip to Montreal at some point. Anyone have an opinion on Vancouver/Victoria vs. Montreal?

Been hearing good things about Montreal, fewer Asians but many French Canadians. The latter group impressed me this time around in terms of looks and service. Plus, I understand it's less expensive. You should check out MERB for more details.

Nice reporting, Merlin. I had a nice time in Vancouver about 5 years ago while on a business trip. While I wouldn't travel to Vancouver (or anywhere in N. America or Mexico) just for the hobby, Vancouver, Toronto and especially Montreal are good places to "relieve the tension" while out on business and between serious mongering destinations.

It's been several years, but I used to have fairly good success at the Asian massage parlors (also Russian & Eastern European) in Richmond, but I've been told that now it's a "hit or miss" on getting extras because of law enforcement. Sometimes, all you get is a massage.

Seems pretty high.. That figure equates to a 1 way ticket to Colombia. I live in Seattle and have been to BC many times and I always felt they priced high and it didn't even seem like they were willing to neg.
