Hobbyinhouston First trip to Buenos Aires.

DAY 1.

I hade been traveling for several days when I finally left Miami for Buenos Aires. It was a long flight with a lot of children on board. The plane lands and I make it thru customs and get my bags without a hitch. The customs people in Buenos Aires are really friendly. Some countries Ask a lot of questions and overall not very nice.
I made a mistake and changed some currency at the cambio in the airport next to the baggage claim. They offer 3.2 as opposed to 3.5 else where. Thanks to mayra brill of argentinago.com, the driver was waiting for me with a sign. And I didn’t have to worry about a finding a good cab. Some of you may think that is a strange worry, but in some places in Latin America the cab ride from the Airport might be your last or the last time you see your stuff. Also, I didn’t have as much time as I wanted to research my vacation. Most of my time was spent researching the ladies not the city or country. It seems that the taxies in BA are safe.
I arrive at the Etoil Hotel. It’s nice and the staff is really friendly. They only have limited currency exchange at the hotel $30 U.S. at an exchange rate of 3.3. The Gentleman from the hotel said that, just around the corner there was a cambio or money exchange place that offered 3.5 and better and many cash machines. Once again many thanks for the friendly and honest help of the hotel. For those of you who don’t speak much Spanish, all the Hotel staff seems to speak some English. Some of the guys at the frond desk speak perfect English.
I get to my room, a diplomatic suit; I save 50 or 100 peso per day going thru Mayra Brill of argentinago.com. I think the room at 198 pesos per day is a good rate. The next time I may try to rent an apartment for a couple of weeks instead. I unpack and take a shower. I am exhausted and the trip has just begun. I walk around the Area trying to get my bearings. I find many of the places Blacks, Affair, play woman, ect.
I contemplate sleeping today and begin mongering tomorrow. What the hell was I thinking? I check my mail and read some of the posts from fellow mongers and look over the photos. Amazing, I am no longer exhausted. I look at my short list and start calling. The first was not there; the second Sandy was there. Oh my Oh my, Sandy looks just like her photos on escort-Argentina. We go to an Indian restaurant for dinner, the food was great and Sandy was even better. She made me feel like I was the only one there. A real GFE experience. Sandy quoted me a price in dollars and had the conversion down.
