I visited Angeles for the 5th time in the last three years for two weeks surrounding Easter. For the first time since I began going to AC, I became VERY bored during the two-week visit. So bored, in fact, that I seriously considered bolting after a week. Although I didn't leave early, partly due to the good company of some of my travel mates, I did wonder if perhaps it was time to try to establish a different primary mongering location. As you'll see, that hasn't happened yet. But I will certain begin limiting my stays in AC up to 10 days at the max.
For the vacationing monger, AC remains much the same as it has in the past. It is still a huge shit-hole, prices continue to increase incrementally, and the number of truly good-looking girls are small in comparison to the fuglies that dominate many bars. On the other hand, girls in AC are still some of the sweetest in the world, mongering in Angeles is about as easy as it comes, and the prices are about as good as you will find in the (quasi-) English-speaking world.
During this trip, I didn't make a lot of good choices when selecting girls. For whatever reason, I was just not on my game. As always in Angeles, you need to search A LOT to find a good quality girl – and trust me I searched a lot – still, I just didn't make good choices. The major problem that I encountered with most of my choices is that they just didn't know how to fuck. (This CERTAINLY is not Brazil.) Additionally, I seemed to end up with a LOT of girls who did not want to be in Angeles. I kept hearing things like, “Back when I was a good girl...,” and “You know that I have a lot of problems....” These types of statements take the wind out of my sails. Finally, I picked up my first “stalker” on this trip. I suppose that this is inevitable in Angeles given the nature of the girls, but it is certainly something that I did not want to deal with.
I stayed at the Central Park hotel having switched over on my last trip from the Swiss Chalet due to slightly lower cost and access to the pool/lanai area at the Pacific Breeze. The staff there is certainly very attentive and, for the price, the hotel is a good bargain. There was a little construction noise from the never-ending condo construction project across the street, but it never bothered me in my room. I'll stay there again.
Highlights of the trip were:
Nailing a sweet-looking hottie at Casi Cielo who was gone the next day. She was tiny with a girl-next-door face who rode me like a rodeo queen. If only she could give head she would have been damn near perfect.
Matrix Brawn – girls who ACTUALLY know how to give head. They may not look like much, but they definitely know how to get the job done. But honestly, who cares how they look when all you'll see is the top of their head?
The opening of Tequila Reef – decent (for Asia) Mexican food that I didn't have to hoof out to the Perimeter to get.
Winning a little money playing poker in the Wild Aces poker room. I LOVE Koreans who call in the early round bets and fold on the River on a consistent basis.
The bratwurst stand in front of Lancelot on Fields. Although a little pricey, it received a consistent thumbs up from everyone I know who tried it.
Having fully ¾ of the bars on Field and about ½ the bars on the Perimeter open on Good Friday. That's an improvement from last year.
Hanging with the boys. Porker and Bud are good guys and a pleasure to hang out with.
I do owe an apology to a board member who texted me early in the trip, wanting to hook up with Porker and I for a barhop. I accidentally deleted his text so didn't have any way to get in touch with him. Dude, if your reading, sorry!
On this trip, Angeles was like a bad round of golf for me. I struggled throughout my entire round, hitting bad shots and getting myself into situations that would have been much more convenient to avoid. However, just like a bad round of golf in real life, I hit a shot on number 18 that makes me want to come back for more. I met a girl late in my trip who rocked my world. While I have NO illusions about what she is (a bar girl) and what I am ( a died-in-the-wool monger), she did, and continues to, intrigue me which will probably cause me to take trip number 6. So much for being bored in Angeles – huh? And, finally, a bad round of golf is better than most anything else.
The remainder of this report will consist of three different sections. First, my travel gear. I remember Xenono doing this in his early reports which helped me pare down my travel gear to two carry-on bags. Since that time, I have become quite the gear whore and can still fit my stuff into two carry-on bags. The second section will be a re-printing of a text conversation I had with a girl from La Pasha who I was trying to get to come and see me during the afternoon. I was eventually unsuccessful, but the back and forth is not only humorous, but gives some insight into the thinking of a bored bar girl who isn't quite ready to buck the system. And finally, I will share my ratings (along with a few pictures) of the bars I went into.
