I picked the Nova Platinum Hotel (http://amari.com/). The rate was about 1350BHT a night and included free internet, but no breakfast (which was extra). The hotel was located close to Walking Street, had a beautiful pool, and the room was quite nice. Very guest friendly as well.
Pretty much hit all the usual haunts like the Peppermint club, and the various strip clubs along the way. My favorite to hang out was Lucifer's.

Stuck with my 2000BHT rule for this trip - LT, maybe a little pricey for Pattaya, but seemed fair to me and to her.
The great thing about Pattaya is that you really do not need to read anything on this board to find a good time. There are just soooooo many bars and places to hang out. Thousand's of girls.. it just takes the right one to click with and you are in business.
Picked up other girls in a few bars in my first few days, none really all that memorable, until I ran into my Thai Cougar. One afternoon I was sitting at an Italian restaurant eating a pizza when I noticed a beautiful Thai woman walking by. She sat down at another restaurant close to mine and was soon joined by another friend. I kept looking over and after awhile we started to look at each smiling. She did not seem like the typical working girls so I decided just to give a little time before making any moves. Another employee of the restaurant sat down with her and they started to talk. After awhile and her giving me a smiling glance I decided to pay my bill and walk over.
Her English was marginal, but sufficient enough to at least communicate. She was actually from Bangkok visting a friend in Pattaya that had an upcoming Birthday. She had two kids that were going to visit her over the weekend and so it went...we communicated the best we could. She agreed to go out in the evening for some dancing with her friend and off we went. Later in the evening her friend got tired (again, an older Thai in the mid 30's) but we kept on hanging out. We both kept on drinking until about 7:00am in the morning when we both found ourselves back at the hotel. Sex was outstanding....we both slept until 5:00pm when we made another date for the evening. Again, we had a fantastic night ending in a great time in my hotel. The next afternoon she invited me over to her hotel to meet her friend, who owns a hair saloon. After a couple of more days together unfortunately her kids were arriving from BKK bringing to end the all nighters together.
hehehe, so my final days in Pattaya were not spent in bars drinking all night long but rather going to a birthday party with a large group of Thais, eating dinner with her and her kids, playing pool with them, going to the mall, beach, and taking a boat to an island nearby. What a family man I had become! The good thing is that she always made time to come to my hotel alone and spend some time together. One evening after I played pool with her and her kids, followed by eating some ice cream on Walking street, she kissed me good night and went back to the hotel. My plan was to hit walking street and find someone but I was tired at that point and decided to go back to the hotel. Good thing I did, as soon afterwards she knocked on my door. She wasonly able to stay for a couple of hours, but it was really a fantastic time together.
I was smitten with her.....but all good times come to end. Still not sure what to think about her...it certainly was not about money, nor did she really pressure me for anything. Apparently she had lost the love of life (her words, not mine) in an accident awhile ago and still was not emotionally ready for a relationship. She told me that she had her entire life planned out before, living happily married forever with this guy that died, but now no longer knew if she could love anyone the same. Pretty heavy stuff :-)
Since (as far as I know) this was a civilian, I will not share any photos that identify her, but here is at least one.
Another great trip.....time to go home to Rio. What a drag....just kidding!
