Travel: Went 5/30-6/7 AA to MDE via MIA. Price RT was $375. Coast thru immigration and customs quickly and without incident.

Apartment: GoodToGo offered me his place. It was a beautiful apartment a block away the Medellin Mansion. The great rate he offered me was more than 50% less than I would have paid at the mansion. Beautiful hardwood floors throughout, washer in unit, 24 hour doorman who is able to lend great support when asked. I forgot a few things which he took care of for me very quickly. Only thing I wish the apartment had was a safe.

Colombian Cupid: Definitely worth the money. $20/mo. I signed up a month prior to my trip. Talked to a lot of paisas that wanted to meet. All have MSN Messenger and most have webcams, so that helped a lot. Developed a special relationship with one particular girl that I spent most of my time with. Cute and very sweet girl. She was an amazing help and made it difficult for me to leave MDE.

Lesson Learned #1: When you hide things when you are drunk, you are less likely to find them later!

Story. Picked up a cute chick from Mayorista for 20,000p. Got her back to my place and realized that I needed to hide my passport but didn’t have a lock or a safe (DOH!) I hid it figuring that I would remember to get it later. Didn’t work as planned. When I let her go after several rounds of amazing sex, I forgot where I hid it and figured that she took it. I tore apart almost every section of the apartment several times trying to find it with no luck. I knew that this meant getting a new passport. There is no consulate in MDE, so that meant heading to Bogota to the embassy.

My cutie researched the bus times, etc for me. She had her brother tag along with me on the bus, a 10 hour ride (which we did overnight) from MDE to BOG. Cost: 35,000p ea. Ride was smooth, a stop at a bus terminal every few hours until our arrival.

Getting a passport: Arrive at the embassy. There is a US Citizen entrance on the opposite side of the non-citizen entrance. If you see a large group of people waiting to enter, you are on the wrong side. It opens at 8:00 am. No guests, not even US citizen guests, are allowed on the premesis while you enter (Such a big fence, only to be locked away. Makes you feel like a foreigner with no country.) Anyways, the fee is the regular price for a passport (approximately $100 USC). They accept cash, credit cards, Colombian pesos as well (though the exchange rate greatly benefits the US government). There is no ATM on site (except for US embassy employees). You will need two passport photos. You will need a Colombian police report explaining how you lost the passport (most times people are robbed or pick-pocketed from what I overheard). Expect to wait in long lines the whole time that you are there. If all goes well, you will be told to come back at 3:00 pm to pick up your temporary passport. The passport is good for 3 months, however, they give you another application and as long as you reapply within those three months for a new passport, the fee will be waived. Also, there is really nothing to see whatsoever within walking distance of the embassy, so go to the very little strip mall down a few blocks and hang out there, the pizza was actually quite excellent.

Get the passport at 3pm, in and out in 15 minutes. Decide to fly back so that I do not waste a full day on this. Call cutie, she books me and her brother on a flight back, 45 mins, approximately $100 USD each). It’s a local airline, beautiful leather seats throughout, practically empty flight to MDE.

Now comes the question: How do you hook up with other chicks when this girl has done so much for you, especially when she as a non-pro hasn’t put out yet (despite my great efforts).

She had to go to her regular job, thank god for miracles. I called up a few girls whose number I had for incall. Spent my nights with her. She took off work a few days so that she could show me Medellin. Went to the planetarium, aquarium, took the metrocable up to the top of a hill which was memorable, saw an IMAX movie, etc. She became like a GF which was cool for a while, but made it hard to leave MDE.

Did head out to a few places. Dance club Amarna was awesome. Ancient Egypt motif inside, waiters and waitresses dressed in similar attire. Fase Dos and San Diego were the usual, even saw a few former mansion girls working in them.

Monger Rules: Important to note: Don’t drink more than you can handle. Don’t accuse someone of stealing from you when you are too drunk to realize what’s going on.

I was PM’d on CRT by a monger whose name I won’t mention because he has since apologized (though he tried to rationalize it and still blame me.) We met in Parque Lleras and he was pretty lit already, though he seemed cool to hang with at the time. Finally we decide to go check out Fase Dos and San Diego. I paid for 4 cabs because he only had 50,000p bills. We visit two strip clubs and a bar before heading back to El Poblado. As we head out of San Diego, some underage girls get out of a cab and he right away wants to put them back in a cab to go to his place (which I was able to stop.) Then while at Fase Dos, after he started drinking some imports, was using horrible language to chicas to their face and grabbing more forcefully than a monger usually does, he finally finds a chica and goes to get laid. I, seeing how this is turning out and figuring that this guy is going to bail and leave me with the tab, ask for his share. He only had 50’s so I ask for one and say that we will square up later. He gives me one 50,000p bill one, I clear the tab and wait for him to come out. He comes out, starts drinking the Heiniken, then says hey lets go to a regular bar. I go with him, out of a sense of leave no soldier behind (or a drunk American monger that’s gonna get himself into some major trouble), have a few beers at Palmaihia (dead on a wednesday night i come to find out!) before finally calling it a night. While in Poblado, he starts telling me how he is a math major and knows that I ripped him off and stole his money. Then, while the taxi is stopped, he tells me to fuck off and gets out of the cab to walk away. I pay for the cab, tell the cabbie to pick him back up and finish taking him to his place, then walk to the casino to blow off some steam (even won a few bucks) before calling it a nite myself. That night though still pisses me off to this day (almost 2 months later) because I am a good guy who has his own money and wouldn’t ever want my reputation tarnished by such acts. As a monger here, I like to think that we all take care of each other and watch out for each other. I hope I have never acted in such a way toward the brotherhood as to discredit myself in such a horrible manner. I am starting to rant, so ill stop there.

Flight home: AA flight delayed 4 hours, means I missed connection home and have to stay overnight at a hotel in Miami. Catch the first flight out and head straight to work shortly thereafter.

Wrapup. A good trip. Colombian Cupid is a gold mine. Cutie was a godsend for the time that I was there. Remember to watch who you hang out with and feel free to leave before things get stupid. Honor the brotherhood because the help they can give you is immesurable. Most importantly, dont hide things while drunk unless you are sure that you will find them (I found my passport the day I left and was cleaning and washing everything in the APT.)

Great story. I don't like to monger with drunks for similar reasons. They usually turn into a pumpkin long before midnight and you're more or less a hostage to their binders. I started leaving them where they were long ago. If they're going to go to such lengths to get into stupid situations, they should be able to find their way out of them...

Regardless of how, they will usually blame you for their mishaps. Perhaps apologizing later. Only to repeat the same stupid behavior at the next opportunity...

I concur Colombian Cupid has been a gold mine for me as well, and I agree that drinking is no necessito unless you've entered a club with a drink minimum.

Why did you feel the need to hide your passport so secretly from a Mayorista girl or any girl for that matter?

Placing it in a locking suitcase (or unlocked), a drawer or under a cushion or mattress or a high shelf would have been efficient and certainly easier to relocate.

BTW- You didn't mention where you hid your money or credit cards which would be a more likely target if any. I have never heard of any Paisa specifically going after a gringo passport. I always separate my passport from my money/credit cards, even if in a safe. Money and credit cards I can replace with a few clicks or calls. The headache of dealing with a US embassy anywhere is something I hate thinking about.

I believe you are referring to the Colombian Love Connection website (no longer operating) which was run by Robert from the Medellin Mansion and not Greg

Greg did not use it as a front for whores either and neither did Robert. It was a dating agency of non pro girls. That way there was a balance of semi pros & non pros should clients of MM choose to mingle.

Apparently Robert tired of running that operation and let it go to do the Mansion Castillo and other endeavors full time.

Hey Mexidan, Thanks for the report. I'm a newbi, first timer to mongering. I just turned 60 in April, good health and with mondern teck. am able to perform quite well. After a visit to Central America in the next couple of months (and I like it) I want to move there in about 1 year. At first I was leaning toward Panama, but after hooking up with CH, and studying all the reports etc, I"m now leaning towards Medellin, Col. I,m not super rich but OK $ wise. I was in Viet Nam in 1970 (Helicopter Pilot) and would go there, but to far for my sister to visit.

My questions are:

-Is Medellin where I want to live eventually? I like adventure.
-Should I get on ColumbianCupid now or just go to The Mansion, Fase Dos, and San Diego on my first visit ( I expect no more than 3-4 sessions as I plan to investigate long term living arrangements etc.)

Im trying to figure out my budget for my virgin MDE trip in February. I've read on several reports that people are taking local flights with local airlines and they're only paying like $100 bucks. Does anyone have any tips/names you could give of how or who to book through? Im wanting to go to Cali to get mugged and beatin by the locals so I want to plan my trip accordingly.
