Penang is the name of an island off the northwest coast of Malaysia, relatively close to Thailand. The capital of Penang is Georgetown, but Georgetown is commonly called Penang as well, by both travelers and locals. So for the sake of consistency, I will refer to Georgetown as Penang. All places referred to below are actually in the city of Georgetown.

Penang is one of the leading tourist destinations in Malaysia, and is the only state in Malaysia which is majority Chinese. Of course anywhere you have a lot of Chinese, you’re also bound to find a lot of mongering opportunities. Following are the details of what I “uncovered” in Penang. This will be a brief report, as I was only there three days and didn’t have much time for mongering. I was also conserving money for mongering in Singapore and Macau, so I didn’t want to blow too much in Penang.

Most of the action takes place in the so-called “health clubs”, which may have a variety of names: health club, health center, sauna, sauna and massage center, and so on. All of these health clubs are located inside hotels. Not all health clubs are disguised brothels; some are legitimate massage and sauna joints. You’ll know as soon as you walk through the front door what type of place it is. Places that offer sexual services will have a large room with women lounging on the couches. The person quoting you the price will tell you flat out that it’s for fucking. Legitimate places are set up a bit differently and the prices they quote are far lower, and they’ll tell you that “a massage costs x dollars.”

As for price, I was quoted the same price everywhere: 180 Malaysian Ringit (pegged at 3.8 to the dollar), which comes out to about 47 US dollars. By the way, Malaysians usually use the term “dollar” when quoting prices, even though they are quoting Ringit. So if you hear “180 dollars”, that’s in Ringit, not US dollars. The quoted price was for a session that lasted 45 minutes. I was paying the dreaded white man’s surcharge, as I heard that locals paid a bit less. I was also told that locals had the option of asking for a “quick shot” for 90 Ringit, which lasts only 20 minutes or until you cum, whichever comes first. However, no place would let me do the quick shot. I was told only locals get that option. The SOB’s…..

Locations

Cathay Hotel – on Lebuh Leith (Lebuh Street): the health club is located at the rear of the hotel, and has it’s own outside entrance. This club had the largest selection of girls that I saw in Penang. (Admittedly I visited Penang at the wrong time for mongering. I was there for New Year’s and a lot of the girls had gone back home to be with family for a few days, so I didn’t get to see a normal selection.)

I was told that normally they have 35-40 girls working there, though there were about 10 when I entered. I wound up taking a Malaysian Chinese by the name of Annie, who was 24 and from Kuala Lumpur. Annie had a great attitude and was pleasant to be with, though her body was nothing like the Thai girls I take in Bangkok. She also kept remarking on how big I was (apparently they don’t get many Caucasian mongerers in Penang), a pattern that continued with the next girl in Penang and all the Chinese girls in Macau. Since I’m pretty average, these girls caused no end of chuckling on my part.

We had a pretty good session, as she did have a tight pussy. She was pleasantly surprised that I massaged her; she said I was the first customer who ever did that. No tip was hinted at or asked for. When I left the “fucking” area and re-entered the lounge, I noticed an extremely hot, petite Chinese girl wearing very tight shorts, who I wanted to take back immediately. Alas, she wouldn’t go with non-Asians, because we’re “too big.”

New Savoy Hotel – located on Lorong Hutton: I was informed by a local that the Cathay and New Savoy were the two best, biggest health clubs in town, so the New Savoy was next on my list. The waiting lounge was large, however there were only two girls! Most were gone for New Year’s. Fortunately I was a bit lucky, as one of the girls looked pretty good. Her name was Fanny, 25, from Kuala Lumpur, and also Malaysian Chinese. I was absolutely delighted to discover when she undressed that she had fabulous Murasaki-style nipples, popping out a mile. Suddenly I was salivating. She had quite a nice rack to go with the nipples, and gave me a nice, dry body massage with them. I also discovered once the fucking commenced that not only did she have a tight pussy, but she could do the “squeeze” control that I love so much. Once we hit the doggy position, between the tightness and squeezing I could barely hold it any longer and shot my load. Her attitude wasn’t as nice as the girl at the Cathay, but the sex was quite good and I left a happy camper. By the way, neither girl would allow photographs.

Other hotels that offer sex:

There is a small hotel directly next door (on the left) to the Cathay Hotel that has a sexual health club. There are usually about 10-12 girls working there. I lost the name of the hotel, but you can’t miss it.

The Peking hotel on Penang road has the Thye Whan health club in back, which is supposed to be the third largest in town.

There are numerous hotels in Penang, all of which advertise some type of health club. I only had time to check out six of them. The four mentioned above offer sexual services. The Hotel Continental and the Hotel Malaysia on Penang Road only offer massage. Someone else will need to add to this list.

Other venues:

If the KTV scene is your thing, then Goldmine KTV on Burmah Street is apparently the best place for that. I was informed that 160 Ringit gets you started. There is no guarantee that the girl you select will leave with you to have sex. If she does, her price is negotiated separately and on top of the 160 you already paid.

There are a couple of KTV clubs on Penang Road as well, though I don’t have any info on them. One, Club Hime, looked like it catered to Japanese and Chinese only.

There were also a couple of streetwalkers in Penang, who were quite ugly. And one was the most horrid-looking katoey you could imagine. Yes, there are katoey in Malaysia and Singapore, but they are soooo much easier to spot than some of the ones in Thailand.

Other costs: Penang is a pretty cheap place to visit. I stayed at the Hotel Continental, a nice business-style hotel for about $25 a night. Food is dirt cheap, as most of it is hawker food (one of the things that Penang is famous for). I flew direct to Penang on Thai Airways from Bangkok, and then flew to Kuala Lumpur on Malaysian Airlines. The ticket from Bangkok was 4400 Baht (about a $100), and the ticket to KL was a bargain at $44.

Conclusion: I definitely wouldn’t recommend Penang as a mongering-only destination, but if you are traveling there for other purposes, then the hobbying is readily available, albeit the quality of the experience and of the girls is definitely not of Bangkok caliber. But then again, few places are…

Murasaki,

What's the action like in Macau?
I went there over 5 years ago for a day trip I was more focus on the pai gow tables at lisbon casino and not the mongering.

Is it mostly massage parlors?
I heard there are russian ladies working in the parlors.

This my friend is not my idea of great mongering. Sorta like the massage parlors here in US but with better looking chicks it seems. I never planned on travel to Penang and your report does not change my mind- - in fact I may never eat Penang curry again ! Why the hell did you take valuable time out of your temporary retirement to travel there ?? Did you expect something better or were there some of your fossils to dig up or examine ?? What did you do besides go to massage parlors ?? BTW -- still no pix-- my pallet of kleenex is getting dusty !!!!

I'm working on the trip report for Macau right now. I hope to have it submitted to Hombre shortly.

The next three trip reports will have photos, but it's really only the Thailand one where you will need the kleenex!

Ceenotes, Macau is pretty good. I've posted before might do so again. The hk$1400 chicks in the saunas are really good looking. You play pai gow? That game is super high risk right, like one can lose his family fortune rather quickly!! Jackie Chan was really into it.

Forgot to mention the Russian ladies are usually outside of the hotel. They come out at night.

Hey Murasaki,I went to Penang but that was before my mongering days:)

i found the russian gals in macau to be less than attractive. i know some guys that have seen some real beauties but they were not there when i was there. you can find the russian gals outside hotel lisboa or inside at the coffeeshop (not the one on the lowest level - the one on the same level as the check-in). only saw them at night.

i was only in macau for two nights and didn't venture too far from hotel lisboa. the bottom floor of the hotel is filled with chinese gals strolling about ready to take you to their room upstairs for a shower and action. my buddies call it the "paddock" and you can relax in the coffeeshop and have a drink and watch them as they parade around (coffeeshop has glass walls). these gals were available at all hours. english was not spoken.

i forget what i paid but it is in an archived trip report on this site. i think it was 1,000 hong kong for 45 minutes or so with the chinese gals.

i hear darlings is excellent for a massage. i should have stopped their but never made it.

Are there economy hotels near the thai consulate in penang. I have not seen any good prices for hotels on the web sites that I have used. I guess by now that this place is going to be overloaded with expats getting the 90 day visa. Any help in this area by anyone. Thanks. Marc.

I don't know where the Thai consulate is. The Hotel Continental as I mentioned above was decently priced at the time, but that was four years ago. Haven't been to Penang since, so I don't have any updated info.

The Thai consulate is not easy to find, and giving directions would be a mess. Take a cab there the first time (app 10 RM), then figure out how to walk to Midland Mall, about a 20 minute walk. Then you can take the shitty bus back to Komtar.
Penang has the worst buses in the country; even the local service in the sticks has nicer coaches.

On a visa run to Penang is it easier to get a agent to get your visa or go yourself. I have heard good things about both and also bad things. I will be going there next month and trying to get good info from some of these thai travel agencies in Bangkok is just not that good. I had a heck of a time trying to get good info on the Cambodian border in Bangkok on my second trip during the new visa laws. Pattaya is way ahead of Bangkok in that area. I think that Pattaya is so far advanced on the visa laws than Bangkok it is not even funny.
