I really can say that 2008 was a good year for me and taking some time off this year decided to make a short trip to Tijuana and plain just relax for a little while before my upcoming Asian trip. I happen to be in Washington State and flew Alaska Airlines to San Diego. It was an uneventful flight and found out the hard way how bad this airline is, charging for every freaking thing from water to peanuts to chips. Should have known this when I was hit with a $25 fee for my 2nd bag, lousy bastards!!! Glad I don't use this airline often.

Landing at San Diego was a breeze and soon I was in the red trolley downtown on my way to San Isidro and the Mexican border. Such a great system is this trolley thing, saves a lot of money.







Once I got across the border I took the local bus service to downtown TJ, only US$.65/6 pesos. I don't see how anybody can beat this price. No sense in paying US$5= for a taxi cab. Local buses just wait across the intercity bus station at the border, can't miss it!!!




Downtown I went straight to an old place of mine, the Cesar's Hotel.

The room rate was very reasonable, only US$30 and it was a lot better than staying at the Paris Hotel. Never try to bring a girl for the night and for the most part I tend to do my mongering at the Zona Norte and keep my hotel room for my "rest & recouperation".









I was at an internet place which is one block past the Aja Lai complex. Just stay on Revolution Avenue, it's open 24 hrs and very convenient to use. There's one across the Cesar's hotel but it closes at midnight. One other place to mention is the central market food center for some very tasty Mexican food and very, very cheap. I dislike those tourist joints with their American prices!!! I don't see any problems eating there and from experience the food at the market is tasty, filling and reasonably priced. This market is just down the block from the Cathedral. It can't be missed 'cause it sits right on the boundary with the "Zona Roja".



I stayed this time for about 5 days and the nighttime action was pretty much nonstop for me. I checked Chicago Bar and it wasn't as good as it used to be. Adelita's was another story, this place was booming with so much flesh and lust that some nights I felt drained to the bone. Top picks at Adelita's while I was there were; Veronica, a stunning and voluptuous female that is very accessible and with a pleasant personality. Other ladies were Jenny with a "sister's ass built into her", Nelia, a nice and very quiet girl but so sweet. Only bad rap here was with this girl named Magally, she is a nice looking lady but her attitude changes once you get to the room, very robot-like and with a rushing need. I couldn't take a pic so I hope nobody else runs into this woman. This club has been getting some serious facelift and from the old Adelita's it's hard to picture this one. I used to like the old set up, but understandably time invokes progress, however painful it may be. Glad to say I had the chance to know the old Adelita's from bygone years.

Most girls will charge US$60+11 (room), the restaurant next to Adelitas is most convenient and offers needed nourishments after some juicy action with the ladies. The other clubs are very good down the block, especially Las Chavelas and Hong Kong, I tell you. Especially Hong Kong Bar, it's just awesome, I don't think it has all the pretty girls in TJ, but it offers some serious amount of cute girls and a nonstop show that covers both sides of the club. YES, you can go into HK on the Adelita's side of the street and go out through the club and into the BACK street on the other side. Plus it has 3 floors with private rooms on the 2nd. It's an all hands-free for all once you go with a girl or girls into one of these booths. I had so many chicks that I forgot some of the names, one I do remember is Amiko, what a stunning body and very pleasing with the customer. She's Salvadoran (my 1st one!!!) Another I remember is Yesenia, she always has a nightly show.

I do go to the other side of the street where most of the street girls hang around but never partake with any of them. I'm not trying to put them down, just saying that most of the clubs offers more than enough entertainment for my mongering needs and pleasure. Most of the time I used to go there around 6 pm and true!!!, wouldn't head back to the hotel 'til 2-3 am. I was like a vampire, once I got into bed (at my hotel room!) around 4am, I would sleep 'til 3pm. Then it would be time to get ready for another evening of fleshy needs. I notice that prices have gone up a little and I do look into things like that.

This town always has given me a most rewarding experience without having to travel to more far away lands such as PI/Thai/Sing or South America for that matter. One thing that makes it very easy is the small area into which most of the clubs are located. No need for maps, gps gizmos or special markers. One can have all the flesh and lust one can handle in just 3 square blocks. I'm sure this wouldn't be possible, let's say in Pattaya for example. Anyways, it was a most and very "exhausting" fun time that had and needed.

Going back is a no-brainer, just take a local bus on 2nd street going back to the border, the bus should have the words "La Linea" up front on the glass. Then you just walk towards the border. Kind of sad whenever you have to go back to reality and the complexities of the US.








I always try to share all my travel experiences ever since I joined Club Hombre and don't regret it. It has so much joy and info on travel around the world. If this seems short in some respect, I apologize and hope this report is satisfying.

Thanks for sharing some great "travelogue" pics that we rarely or never see in connection with TJ. Hotel Caesar looks much more decent than I thought it was. Looks like they must have done some extensive renovation though I've never been anywhere but their bar, lobby, restaurant and former strip club to compare the then and the now. Their prices were higher years ago, but the difference could be attributable to the weakening of the peso.

You and I don't appreciate the same chicas - I'm still locked in with the 18-24 year old FOBs of the type who rarely plant in Adelita Bar, but I enjoyed your report and pics of sunny TJ!

A lot of people give Tijuana a bum rap, but many of the reasons that you mentioned -- proximity to the US, pricing, San Diego, etc. make up for many of its shortcomings.

Did you get any food photos?

I realize it wasn't a long mongering trip and it is just a planned 4-5 days fun time in TJ. Erip; you're right in your chicas views and preferences, there are really all kinds of girls around and i wasn't let say too picky on the matter. as long as they weren't too old or too fat. RT; i think i have some food photos and i will post them as soon as i dig them out of my computer, ok.
I always try to get as much info as possible out to Hombre menbers. i might not be as photo taking savvy as some other guys but always do my best to get the facts in the open. i did asked some girls for pics but not all of them wanted this and i tend not to push the issue once they say no.///

I would like to clarify one point, this is that this trip to TJ was taken early July '09. It just took a little while for me to post this trip report. still have 2 more reports to post (PI and thailand) and it looks i would do them in the next few days, finally.///

I used to stay in this absolute shitbag hotel 2 blocks east from Adelitas and they would charge me $30/night PLUS $5 to actually take the remote to the tv up to my room. Does anyone have any information on good Dentists in TJ for some reason i trust TJ dentists VS Columbian dentists. Is this crazy ( all the work is cosmetic)?

Good point about the trolley. A taxi cost $30 several years ago, as I recall, from Lindberg Airport to the San Ysidro border crossing. Keep in mind that it does not operate from about midnight or so, to about 5:30 a.m.
