Mongering sites: the regular bars, hotel bars, coffee shops, discos, pro discos the areas are many and I could not hit them all. I will limit my discussion to only the sites I experienced although I have heard good comments re other places that I regrettably was unable to check.

Mahouse 2: first place I hit, late sunday. A good crowd. If you are white you need no game as most women's attention will be to you at some point or another. Some interesting combinations of physical features can be found contrary to other reports but I will elaborate on the women's section. Expected charge can vary between 1000K to 3000K or more. You should NOT pay more than 2000K and I would argue that you should be able to get away with 1500 most of the time and even 1000 if the girl fancies you (more on that later). You can always find action here but there is a definite increase in number or women on fri/sat. Also if you fancy Somali chicks you will find plenty here as well as some Tanzanian and Ugandan. The place is alright and not a bad place to check, it gets going after 11p, entrance fee is 300-500K.

Madhouse 1: this place is also packed on weekends but more than MD2 on weekdays. I got a feel that is is more of a pro bar than 2 is. Felt more like a nicer Adelitas, without the silicone and without the over aggressiveness. There is also a strip bar area in the premises that I did not check as they charged an extra fee for entry (1000?), btw entry to MD1 and 2 was 500 or so.

Simmer's: while action at the Madhouses can only be found late at night, usually after 11p, Simmer's provides substinance earlier in the day. I would guess you have a reasonable chance to find someone doable starting around 5, with a significant increase in bootie starting around 8 and the place being in full gear by 10-11. This place is going daily. I pulled a few winners out of here. The place has live music often and is a good place to relax and conduct a good interview. The food is not so good but that is often the case in Kenya.

Carnivore: a must place visit if ony for its former glory as being amongst the best restaurants in the planet, mostly not due to the meat that we mongers seek but to the wild life game meats that were served. Alas that is no longer the case as it is illegal. They do serve some mean meats: the duck and ostrich amongst the best I have ever had. Wednesday's (as in most clubs in Kenya) are ladies night, I was there then. I hooked up with a Ugandan with humongous cans who was quite enjoyable 1500 LT. It was not vvery crowded that night. I was told weekends do rock.

Club I did not hit but wish I had: Black Diamond in Westlands. In fact, I missed out on the whole Westlands action and feel cheated. I will be going back next year for further research. I spoke to a couple of mongers there and they were non-stop on their praises.

Other areas: pretty much everywhere you can pick up...malls, coffee houses, restaurants. I am not saying they will drop on your lap but I would not be surprised if with very little effort you could be sacking by date #2 if not the first. I rather not complicate my life or BS the chicks so the well known pick up sites suit me fine...even then you will have your share of drama (more on that later).

Very interesting report, I am curious what the quality is like there. We have a decent Ethiopian community here, and some of the gals can be very, very pretty. Looking forward to the rest, feasting on python and evaiding wild baboons :-)

You are very adventurous Concarne visiting a country which is recovering from its own bloody internal conflicts, is surrounded by such sweet spots of the world as Somalia, Ethiopia and The Sudan. But most relevant, and I apologize in advance for flying into the dark zone here but I think it has to be asked, what about HIV and prostitution? A Kenya travel site I have looked at states that 1 in 5 urban dwellers are HIV positive in this country - fewer in the rural areas but 14% of the female population overall.

And of course we know that HIV/AIDS in Africa is a heterosexual phenomenon that it peculiarly has not become in the U.S. with its continuing most heavy concentrations in the gay community. I assume this means that all mongering is on the safest side of safe or that you'd want it to be if it isn't automatically?

To be completely honest there were a couple of times when I did the deed and was not safe. I only did this with 1 girl who I believed to be a regular girl. Stupidity and alcohol joined to make a bad call.

I very much regret having made that mistake (as you point out the heterosexual incidence there is higher than in the USA). I have been tested since and I am clean but I could have been burned big time.

Finding girls willing to do it without protection is not all that hard (if they like you I guess) but I most certainly would not recommend and certainly will refrain from in any future visit.
