I arrived in Havana after midnight and passed through customs without any problems. I exchanged $2000 Canadian for $1623 CUC… they rape you on the exchange there. I took a cab to my casa particular and when I arrived there I found Tony from casaparticular.org waiting for me to tell me he found me a different place, because this one wasn’t available anymore. So at 12:40 am, we headed over to my casa particular. I arrived at a nice apartment in Miramar at around 1 am and was greeted warmly by the old lady that owned the apartment. She showed me my room and asked me to turn the air conditioner off when I leave the apartment. That was her only rule. I paid her for the first 3 days and asked Tony if he knew of any discos in the area. He did. I showered quick and we headed over to the bar right on the corner of my block. The disco there was very dead.

We left and headed over to Rio Club; which is also in Miramar. It was absolutely packed, people were sandwiched in shoulder to shoulder. As soon as I paid my 5 CUC cover no less than three women approached me asking me to dance. I picked one right away and we started dancing. She introduced herself as Lisi and after talking to her for a bit I decided to take her back to my place. I thanked Tony for his help and left the club with Lisi in tow. We took separate cabs. I paid my cab 2 CUC, and her cab driver demanded 5 CUC, which I reluctantly paid. The taxistas always take more money if you’re with a girl, and the price goes up the later at night it gets for some reason. It’s a known scam in Cuba, and you sort of have to put your foot down with those thieves sometimes.

Back at the apartment we showered together and Lisi was great. Passionate dfk, great bbbj, the works... she definitely brought her A game. After my 2nd pop I pulled out my camera and tried to take some pictures… So yeah, Cuban girls are VERY anti pornography, and when I tried to take a naked picture of her, she freaked out, as witnessed in this picture…

The exchange rate is something like 0.87 peso to USD? (Which they at 10% fee on top of the rate for USD)
So your saying, don't exchange at the airport?
I think someone said the street cambios are all about the same.

All cambios suck in a standard fashion... use euros they get a better exchange. 1 Euro got me 1.27 CUC.

It's all about the same as long as you dont bring USD (to avoid the 10% fee). You still have to exchange USD for something. I would think Euro's, Pound, Francs all trade accordingly.
