This was my first trip to San Jose, Costa Rica. IMHO, Costa Rica is my idea of heaven on earth. Beautiful friendly women, ideal climate, casinos, good cheap food, and overall affordable.

I arrived wednesday at San Jose around 1 pm via Delta. Took a taxi ($10)to the Presidente and got my room for $45 per night for three nights. Presidente is a fairly nice hotel and the staff is overall very accomodating and friendly. After unpacking, I walked about 2 blocks and went over to check out the lengendary "Hotel Del Rey and the Blue Marlin Bar". Its a very nice hotel and casino. No doubt, it's the best Gringo hotel in San Jose and it served as the main place for all the entertainment that I needed. The entire building is bright pink and so it's very easy to spot.
