Cuba doesn't have a developed mongering scene for locals like Brazil, Colombia and even Costa Rica do... The locals don't really have disposable incomes, and the ones that do have ladies lining up. The only way to really get a girl in Cuba is to either know people who know girls, or to go to a disco after 11pm.

The people in Cuba are very friendly. Wherever I went people were stopping me to say hello, ask me where I'm from and how I'm enjoying Cuba. Some would tell me a sob story and ask for a regalo, and some just wanted to talk to a foreigner. Nobody in Cuba has ever been anywhere, so they're naturally interested in outsiders...

The women in Cuba live in constant fear of the police. Out of the 10 girls I sessioned with in Cuba, I only had a run in with the police once. Claudia and I took separate taxis home from Cecelias, and I arrived at my apartment first. I waited outside for Claudia to arrive, and when she did a cop was behind her pulling her taxi over. She waved for me to go inside and I did. I came back out when I heard the cops leave, and asked her what happened. She said it was just a routine ID check and that I shouldn't worry about it...

Cuba isn't cheap. On a 10 day trip, I spent 2600 Canadian dollars and 100 Euros, and I ate at local places that accepted CUP at least once a day. So figure around $250 US a day to live pretty good.

I wouldn't recommend Cuba to anyone that doesn't speak enough Spanish to carry a light conversation or to anyone going on their first mongering trip...

Socrates; in Havana there's this tourist bus that takes you all around town to the main sites for 3 CUC, hop on hop off. I took that a few times, did the cigar factory tour, checked out some museums, the capitol building, and just walked around Centro and Havana Vieja as much as I could before the heat destroyed me and sent me home for my afternoon nap.

All of the good water activities are a ways out of Havana, I think the closest white sand beach is around an hour away... maybe next trip. I wanted to see Hemingway's house but when I found out it was 3 hours away each way I decided against sitting in a car in 90 degree heat for that long...

My next trip to Cuba will definitely be in a cooler month, its way too hot in August in Havana.

Next time make it December....much nicer. Still tropical but cooler - say 20C +/- 2 C on average.

If I may ask, no flaming intended: the donations requested seem on the high side giving the standard of living and such. Do you believe that just to be a reflection of the fear of the law? Seems like prices should be more in par with a place like the DR (although some of your honeys would command higher than average in the DR for sure)

Every girl I spoke to led with cien. Some were definitely worth at least cien... The problem with Cuba is that everything is very expensive for these girls. A cell phone call is .50 CUC per minute whether you're the caller or the one receiving the call. Even a text message is .18 CUC. Every disco has a cover of at least 5 CUC, up to 15 CUC, and every girl isn't chosen every night, so their overhead is high... The girls outnumber the guys at the disco at around a 4-1 clip. Most of the girls that work Havana are from other cities, so their cost of living in Havana is high as well, I mean, they aren't paying 35 CUC/night for a casa like I am, but they are paying 150-200 CUC/month for a basic room.

Overall, I wouldn't consider Cuba a budget destination by any means, but compared to Brazil the prices are bargain basement (for quality girls!) and the service levels are very similar, if not better.

What you really notice is the sharp clothing of these girls and other with just simple rags. Obviously, some of these girls are pros and have and spend their money.

I guess 300 a week or more in cuba can go a long
way. The others must save or not work too much.
