Was in BA from 11/7-11/11/09. Objective was combination of frolic, business & sights. The information to follow serves to confirm most of what has already been reported. While little is new or noteworthy, what is is.

First, using www.argentinaprivate.com as a research and planning tool is a wise move. Tons of lists & suggestions. Every lead I followed came from this site.

Took tour with Laura who works with Roxanne. Four hours is $180 with own driver. Very knowledgeable. 155-103-3905. Local cell. She also can arrange encounters if Spanish skills are suspect.

It should be noted that economizing was not a priority.

Tried a private apartment called Lólitas at Paraguay 930. Was OK. Not too many girls. Proprieter speaks Ingles. $200 pesos ($54 USD) for the hora. No holds barred. Use website to screen.

Tried a few selections from agencies. Gemidos.com and one other. I learned:
1. Same girls post on multiple sites under different names;
2. When they claim Ingles or basic Ingles, it is a lie. Nada.
3. Regardless of other features, stay away from those who refuse to show their face or smile with teeth. Big red flag;
4. Rate is $400 pesos per hour (107 USD). Some negotiation is possible for multihour dates;
5. As suspected, I believe most look FAR BETTER on screen than in person;
6. No problem getting into Marriott. They simply check in with front desk, you get a call and she is sent up.

Went on Sunday evening to Cafe Orleans. This is similar to some Rio cafes in that chicas hang out. Three from DR and three from Brazil. Decent. Had one come to room next AM.

No need to elaborate on fact that BA=Beef. La Brigada is superb.

Cabs are cheap.

City is muy bonita and rivals the truly scenic ones like Rio, Paris & Capetown. Worth a half day to see.

That's all. Nothing very new. BA is not worth a trip expressly for mongering; but, with other activities, it's not prison either.

How did you locate Lólitas?

I found some apartments through a daily newspaper's classified ads. The tough part was that when I telephoned, I had to get them to spell out very slowly their address and apt number. After locating the address on a map, I ran out immediately and got a taxi.

I met my Italian dream girl that way. But, after our boom-boom, I could never contact her again. She never answered her telephone.

No, not a prison! I live in Argentina (Mendoza) and if you are looking for 50/50 tourism/mongering I would say Argentina is a good bet ....

.... Cordoba has a thriving chica scene also and is a great place to go if you want the estancia experience.

In Mendoza, in general prices are about 20% lower than BA (and 50% lower than tourist BA - Recoleta). There are a couple of clubs here, 250 pesos for the hour (US65) which includes a room. The establishment take 50 pesos for the room and half of the rest so the girl gets just 100 Pesos. So if you find one you like, you can get her phone no and make her a mutually attractive proposition! Same goes for BA, albeit at slightly higher prices.

I you live in Mendoza and are familiar with Cordoba, why don't you do a Trip Report on those two places? It would be new info for most.
