This last 24 hours I learned more about the lesson of "paying up" and "You get what you paid for". There is also another lesson I have learned on this trip and that one is not a new one to me. Its about message boards and mongering. Yet another lesson I learned is about the digital camera settings which will probably up the quality of pictures on this board.

This morning I saw the maid cleaning up a room across the way. This room was much larger, had nice leather couches and seemed a lot quieter then my TJ special. It had a kitchen and the overall experience seemed much better. Some of the great reviews on TripAdvisor and this site about the Diana Inn are true, but were posted by those who were willing to "pay up" for the much better rooms the Inn has to offer.

Last night, I trekked all over Pattaya from the LK Metro to the beer bars to the beach freelancer area and then down to Walking Street. Although these Thai women would not know the difference between you reciting the pledge of allegiance and talking seriously about a football game, they are still very smart.

In a similar manner the Diana Inn knows how to price the rooms, most of the Thai women I met last night seem to know how to price themselves. In the beer bars across the way, I noticed some of the women either have a surgical scar from childbirth or are a little bit older. The Walking Street Go-Go women are the highest priced because they are younger, in much better shape and just look good overall.

In any event, whether you choose the 550 baht room at the Apex motor lodge or a room at the Marriott or if you choose the 40 year old surgical scarred Thai at the beer bar or the stunner at the Walking Street go-go, you will still get laid. Some guys may not even know much of a difference when the lights are turned off. I guess its up to everyone's individual preferences and situation.

I went to the Airport Go-Go (or at least thats what I thought it was called). It was some go-go on Walking Street themed after an Airport. I picked this one because all of the women in the place simply looked good to me.

All of the women though seemed a little straight faced except for one where it appeared she took a liking to me. She was very friendly. We agreed on a short-time session because she had to go to some function later on...I dont know what function but I simply did not care. I thought a quick short time and then back out again into the night.

Here are the pictures. This woman has a 24 inch waist and her body seemed very athetic to me. I like these slender women because my experience is you usually get a more vigorous type of sex then with the larger variety.

I guess you may want to try all the different settings on the camera when taking pictures. Some seem to work better then others.

It was 11pm when it was all over. I sure wish this one had stayed the night, but it could not be. I got back out there and found all of the money changers were closed. I tried in desperation to talk to the hotel staff, but I might as well have been talking to a wall as no one could understand what I wanted. I only had 900 baht on myself and couldnt get anything with just that.

I walked around the various beer bars. There was a 40 year old woman with a surgical scar from kids who seemed willing. I contemplated it and decided to look for other options. I then walked up to the beach where there were plenty of 500 baht freelancers. You have to ask the question why are these women working for 500 baht when their counterparts in the bar make more? I thought to myself that maybe there was something wrong with these women and so I did not want to experiment. I decided to go back to the room and go to bed. I have slept with a lot of women in my lifetime and don't want to see any various flaws. There was a time in my life where I was not so selective and just seemed to sleep around with anything, but that time has passed;)

The second lesson I learned on this trip is not a new one to me and that is about message boards. You can never trust what you read on these boards even from supposedly trusted members. I came to Pattaya with certain pre-conceptions based upon what I read on various boards and some of those pre-conceptions seem not to be true. When reading these reports, you have to take everything with a grain of salt. When you touch down on the ground, things might be different then what is in the reports. I guess everyone has their own perspective and experience depending upon how they set the trip up. There are also those guys who do not really go on the trips, but just fake it and write reports as a way to fantasize.

There is one thing that is definately certain. The Thai women are much better at sex then the Filipinos. I am guessing the Thai women just seem to be more naturally in-shape then their Filipino counterparts. The Thai women can jump up and down on your dick for marathon sessions while the Filipinos need a little rest from time to time. Even the 40 year old beer bar special girl had a very tight body who seemed to fit well into a tight pair of jeans. The 40 year old special was probably better looking then most guy's 40 year old wives in the states. Even her would have probably been a vigorous experience that would have rivaled the experience with some of the younger Filipinos.

Today I am going to finish my business on the internet and go out for a long trek. I did find the pool at the Inn which is definately a different experience then sitting in the room.

I wanted to make special note that the key hours to find a woman are 8-10pm. If you do not find a woman between those times, then you might find yourself behind the 8 ball. The morning and afternoon hours are nearly impossible to find any decent talent. The massage places always seem to have ladies, but the women in those places seem to be the worst option of them all in regards to looks.

Pattaya does not seem to be a pure mongering option like Angeles City. In Angeles, you can always have sex any time day or night. There always seem to be options and a quick text message to the right women gets them at your hotel door-step quick. I found myself in Angeles for 3 straight weeks either having sex or sleeping with 3-4 women a day/night. However, in Pattaya I am finding myself focusing on non-mongering activities in the day-time and then focused on just getting one good lay in the night.

Pattaya is more of a hybrid vacation/mongering spot where as Angeles is a pure-bred sex until you drop type activitiy. I thought jokingly to myself that Pattaya is what I would expect some vacation towns in Florida to be in a different reality/dimension or what it would be if I was tripping on some bad acid.

I agree 100% on your comment regarding the boards. I follow several boards and IMO, Hombre consists of mostly educated ( some exceptions ) men who travel and have a fairly generous budget when doing so.
One other Thailand/Pattaya board seems to consist of primarily European/British many of which live in Thailand or take extended trips. Some of them are on a limited budget, so it seems, because they rave about shithole rooms in crappy hotels and tend to BF older/cheaper girls. Walk by any bar beer on Second Rd at 10 AM and you will see them drinking breakfast.


To each their own ..... as long as you are happy and don't have to sell the dog when you get back home.

as another member noted, it sounds like you still haven't made it to soi 6. that is where the daytime action is, starts about 1pm. the girls aren't up to go go standards but many are better than the typical beer bar girl.

I wonder just how much of a budget most others have. In other reports, I see guys renting houses, taking out boats, taking home some top talent, etc.

I have found that having a modest vacation has cleaned me out of nearly $600 in 5 days. I can imagine many of the other mongers are spending probably 3 times that amount or more...

To date my trips have averaged $100 per day.

Sometimes a lot less per day, sometimes a lot more. I do not stay in super fancy places, have stayed in some crappy places but mostly pretty decent ones. I do not skimp on meals or having fun drinking when I wish to (but I do not think I drinks as much as most)

What happened to your buddies from the other boards that told you we were all stupid for telling you your budget was unrealistic ??

You can live on as little money as you want here. There are apartments for 4000 baht a month which I would not consider luxury living, but livable enough for the money. Across the way is a hotel with A/C and acceptable living accomodations for under 20 US dollars a night. The beer bars I can find women for 300 baht barfine + 1000 baht (short-time) or about 45 dollars. These women are not stunners, but better then what can be had in the United States. As for the food, there are cheap places to eat. The best deal is the hotel buffets which I found some for 110 baht breakfast and 180 baht dinner.

Khunmor, I don't think you are "stupid". You are used to going the more expensive route and there is nothing wrong with that. Thats how you operate and its your cash. Personally speaking, I have always enjoyed finding value. I have never payed out any more then I thought was absolutely neccasary to get the job done and always haggled my way through each situation. When I am able to negotiate someone down, then I feel good. I would not feel right if I stayed at a super expensive hotel or payed up for anything. In that regard, I love the Angeles City hotels which provide above average accomodations for a very reasonable rate.

The only thing I am disappointed at on this trip is not finding the 550 baht a night hotel across the way. There are many other tricks that I found to getting things done cheaply here. My next trip will be even cheaper then the current one. I have found that spending as little as possible on each trip makes it more likely for me to go on another trip.

The main issue for the value oriented monger in this location is the Thai people and hotel/bar owners are experts at ringing money from you. I am finding to always say no to the first two "asks" as a general rule. You have to come to this destination with the attitude of saying no.

To follow-up on KM's comment. You made a rather huge call out on the Asian Discussion board to the Club Hombre community that we "were providing wrong information." When in fact, it sure looks like the hombre information was right on target.

While Hombre these days doesn't pump out huge volumes of information, the information here mostly comes from the consumer side of things. Many of the location specific boards, have a greater volume of info but much of it is posted by business owners, their friends, and others who don't have the consumers' best interest at heart. That kind of suspect viral advertising and spamming is policed pretty strongly here by the posters.

Your trip report has been a solid consumer oriented contribution to the Hombre Pattaya knowledge base. However, IMHO, I think your call out of the community here and haven't really recanted will lessen the enthusiasm and response for your trip report. Which is a shame, because you are putting a lot of energy and doing a good job with it.

I gotta say it sure looks like your proposed 2K budget is gonna be blown. And I think those Hombre members who said a very modest mongering pace and low level venues could be done for 3500-4000 seem to right on target.

BTW, When are you going to check out SOI 6. As a value oriented guy who enjoys enthusiastic sessions and daytime action, I think you will really like the place.

I will be honest. There is plenty of wrong information on this board.

From the generous amounts of enthusiasm and positive commentary in the various posts about Thailand, I thought I would be regularly bumping into women who outclassed the Filipinos in every respect. However, Thailand seems to have its fair share of busted looking women just like the Phils. I also thought that I would be getting out of the typical third-world atmosphere and into better-grade hotels for less. There are places here by the beach and in the better hotels where you can rid yourself of the third world, however, there are many streets that seem to have the TJ or Angeles City look&feel.

There are quite a few trip reports on here that are misleading which do not balance out the entire scene. I understand why someone would like to keep their vacation as positive as possible and thus the enthusiasm, but it can easily mislead someone else into believing something that is not real. In reading one trip report, I felt like I would be roaring around on a Harley Davidson living out of a nice house with a Playboy bunny on the back. This isn't the true picture of Pattaya. You can have this reality, but only if you decide to bring with you a briefcase full of cash.

My budget is not blown. I have only spent about 600-700 of my own cash for a week and that was because this was my first week out. I have pointed out quite a few ways to keep within budget such as the 550 baht a night hotels and the less expensive chicks. There are many ways a value-minded monger can get around for less if they chose to do so.

If someone does not like me because of some comments I made, I don't care. I write this journal for my own benefit and to present a balanced reporting to those who care to listen. If you don't care for me, then you dont have to read this report. Simple...

Right now, I can better appreciate the Angeles City atmosphere now that I know what is in Pattaya. Pattaya is not a perfect destination and is not better then Angeles. They are two different places with each its own pros and cons. Neither is better then the other, just different then the other depending upon your priorities.

Dude...is not like I am a super expert on either country but here is my small comment...

You can find jewels either in the Phils or Thailand. On average I would say you can find more serious lookers on Thai than the Phils...for sure. As far as the fun factor is just the oppossite but that is probably more a factor of the language. I bet if you are fluent in thai then the Phils advantage in fun is reduced or negated.

Pattaya ain't Thailand just like AC ain't the Phils. If I had a choice, with infrastructure in mind, I will pic Pattaya well above AC. If I just want to party my ass off...than AC. At least until I learn Thai.

Thanks for the detailed report. You have to understand that there are guys on this board that have been to Pattaya over 20 times and they will provide useful information. The problem lies is when you ask for information without reading the entire forum/site and then tell everyone on the board that they are full of shit.

I have a feeling that English is your second language by reading your report so maybe there is something lost in the translation.

I am suprised the girl you barfined works at a gogo bar on Walking Street. I know Thai people very well, speak fluent Thai and can tell their age better than most. This girl is at least 34. You can find much better than that but you have to be patient. Stick to the beer bars and your drinks will be cheap and you can find diamonds in the rough who WILL TAKE 500 baht for short time.....and this includes cute girls.

I pulled a cutie with a all-world ass from airport last night, wanted 4000B LT or 2000B ST , I took the ST. They wanted all the money up-front, 2600B. Did this happen to you ? Same happened at super girl, but I refused.

For cheaper late night options go to Insomnina, the I club upstairs, loaded with cutties. go after 3am, you can try after 2am, could be hit or miss at that time. Packed with people, weave your way through the crowd, a bit dark and loud but well worth the effort. I saw many of the go-go girls here.

I don't like paying up front for three reasons: (1) I want the money to go to girl. I probably would not say it quite like that. It almost sounds like you do not trust the girls or the mamasan. The girls and mamasan will not agree that they are untrustworthy. I think your chances are better if you give the biggest fun smile and say, “no-one charges up front” and wait. Then it is more of a fun negotiating game.

Superbaby is weird. I once went in there and hostess wanted a drink. When I declined she got mad at me.
