There are a few strategies to Beach Road. You can grab some beer at the local 7-11 and then sit down on one of the benches for a while. The prime time seems to be between 9-12 midnight. Another strategy is to cruise around in one of the baht bus pickup trucks until you see what you like. Yet another strategy is to walk on the beach looking at the women from behind so you don't get pressured into a decision.

I decided I wanted to get some older women. The following are pictures of women in their 30s and 40s. They both have kids. To some they may seem old, but to me they are young and attractive. Sometimes I like hanging around an older set rather then the ones in their teens and twenties. Actually, I have not found any woman who is 18 or 19. Most seem in their mid to late 20s with kids. I have walked around Pattaya wearing out a set of sneakers visiting various clubs and the Beach and I can say honestly that I have not found any of the college aged or soldier aged set.

They cost me 500 baht a piece and were just short time. One woman hustled for another 200 baht for the pictures.

Someone said in a prior thread about me reaching conclusions. I have not reached any conclusions, but just reporting my honest observations. If you read someone like Priew's report where you see him bolting around on a Harley with a few top go-go girls in tow...obviously he has a different observation then myself.

I am going to stray away from the Beach Road girls for a while and focus on other venues. There are still lots of Beer Bars and still some girls from the Tahitian Queen that I want to focus. 3-4 of the girls in this report have been from the Tahitian Queen which opens at 2pm. The 2-8pm is prime time there and barfines only 300 baht. However, the issue is the women there are all hustlers and so you have to haggle them down a little.

I find this curious. I am wondering if you are basically fishing in Beach Road and Tahitian Queen. My experience has been about 70% 21 and below and 100% 30 and below, although I have nothing against older women. In fact, I had Wun the Angelwitch (Bangkok) calendar girl, in my arms and could have barfined her, and she was 18 at the time. (I like going to Angelwitch to watch the shows, do not want to complicate matters by barfining from there, no matter how attractive the girl is). Most of the girls have not had children.

I was hoping some other people would weigh in on this.

I remember Priew's reports when he was a newbie and you seem to be learning about as quickly as he did. Just get that vasectomy before you repeat his mistake.

If you can point me to the bars or go-gos that have the 18-21 year old crowd, then I will gladly take a look. I have been in quite a few of them and have not seen any that were truly college aged.

I did not go around the clubs asking for identification, but I have a good idea of what looks like college aged and what looks 20-something. Its not apparent to me that 70% of the ladies are below 21.

I am sorry. I reread my statement and it was not clear. When I said "my experience," I meant my barfines. In fact, I estimate that the median age of my barfines is 22.

The average age at the bars is somewhat older. You said the average age in the mid to late 20s, with kids, I agree with that statement with the caveat that I have not tried to systematically estimate the average age in the bars.

I was surprised you had not found “any woman who is 18 or 19”. I know you like to be frugal (and there is nothing wrong with that (I like to save money when I can as well)); however, if you want an 18 or 19 year old and cannot find one, go into one of the better go gos and buy the mamasan a drink and make friends with her. Let her know early on that you like new girls who are 18 or 19. Also let her know that you are a butterfly so that you can use her friendship in the future. If she brings someone over that you barfine, do not forget to give the mamasan a tip (100 baht or more). Every time you go, she can be a resource. Taking care of the mamasan is always a well spent investment.

You should also be aware though that the girl reports back to the mamasan. So if the girl does not like you, the mamasan will very quickly stop liking you as well.

I should comment that you are on the ground in Pattaya and have been there for a while. I am in good old USA. My last trip to Pattaya was in September. Things change quickly. I cannot tell you which bars are good for 18 or 19 year olds right now from here. You seem pretty perceptive. Make it your goal to find an 18 or 19 year old girl. Put together an action plan. I am sure you will find.

The hotels also check the identification of the people you bring over. Both of the hotels I stayed at checked. In fact, it appears the Secrets photocopies the identification, makes the woman sign some type of form and keeps them all in a large binder.

Lets say you do by chance find a woman who is 18 or 19, then it would be difficult to get past the hotel lobby. I know some hotels do not check, but the ones I stayed at did and even kept records of the women coming in.

My girl was going out to celebrate a co-worker's 20th birthday, so that girl was working in a go-go before she turned 20. The girl I was with said that, at 27, she was older than most of the girls in her go-go (though she looked younger than 27 to me). While in a bar, she pointed out a couple of girls that she knew were under 18. I'm assuming they had good fake ids or the club just looked the other way.

The Japanese and Korean clients prefer them.

They have an average age of a couple years older than the AC gogo girls but that is because Thailand is a developing nation and the Philippines is a third world shithole festering in corruption.

When you say locals, do you mean expats or local Thai people? If it is expats then you need to start taking what they say with a grain of salt. I am sure Khun Mor can chime in on this issue as he is the only other guy I know on this board who speaks fairly fluent Thai also.

Go to Soi Six. It will assist in your happiness and your pocketbook.

There are probably tens of thousands of hookers in Pattaya. My impression is that only a very small percentage of them would fit into the sweet young thing (teenager, cute, and slim.) But a small percentage means there are hundreds of the SYT running around still, and of course tens of thousands of older single mommy types.

I get the impression that many hombres are very good at gauging the age of Asain chicks. It took me several years of living here to sort of get good at it. Pattaya adult disneyland - yes... Pattaya home of the SYT hookers - not really.

In Thailand the minimum age to work in a bar is definitely 18 as Blazer's has said. It used to be 16 when I started going but was raised to 18 about 15 years ago.

Both age minimums were and still are are not infrequently ignored knowingly by some of the bars. I can remember as recently as a few years ago the sao sao's running off stage headed for the upstairs rooms at Mandarin in NEP when the lights were flashed off and on signaling a possible police raid. These girls were Khmer, not even Thai, so IDs were a mute point.

The majority of hotels in both Bkk and Pattaya do not even check the girl's ID let alone photocopy it - unless you try to bring in an obviously underage girl.

In Bangkok, in a nice hotel. I had a girl that had lost her ID. I know what you are saying "lost", but I knew this girl for 3 years and she had had it the previous years. They made me sign a form saying that I vouched for her. And they called up to make sure I was "ok" when she left the next morning. The thing is, they let her in without showing an ID.

I am pretty good with conducting investigations;) I am not going to tell you when I was born, but I will say my birthdate was not yesterday. I go right to the source when I report rather then talk to 2nd hand sources. I was told by women who worked at the bar the minimum age was 20. I will check again with some others today, but I think I will get the same answer.

As I said previously, I have been to Soi Six a few times and the women over on that street were not of the type that would be comforting to me. I was not comfortable on that street.

The hotels I stayed in had signs which said that visitors must present ID. They did check the ID and photocopy it. Records seemed to be kept. I have walked into other hotels and saw similar signs which asked for identification of visitors. I can photograph the signs if you don't believe me. The signs were there and the identification was checked of the visitors who came through the door. All of the women in the bars wear some type of identification around their necks in every bar and go-go. I am guessing they are registered with the locals and are required to wear these ids.

I do not doubt there may have been relaxed policies on age and identification some years back, but those relaxed policies are not apparent to myself. All my barfines have been asked for identification.

I do not lie and I investigate my assertions thoroughly from first-hand sources. I am sure your observations are accurate for the times you were here in the years past, but the present time might be different then your last trip.

Over the years I have heard a lot of things on message boards that seemed to sound valid, but were completely untrue. For example, someone told me on a message board that it was against the Geneva convention to shoot someone with a 50 caliber. I have also read various assertions about the 9 mm being an ineffective caliber or the 5.56 mm going through people and they walk away as if nothing happened.

I have to challenge your assertion that there are women here under 18 years old. I also have to challenge your assertion that 20-23 year olds are "all over the place". If they are, then you tell me right now and I will go down to where you say and investigate it.

You are experiencing the Pattaya through your eyes. It has changed very little over the past 5 years, other than a lot more malls and a lot less beer bars. You will see a lot of the sao sao's in the beer bars but few in the gogo's. I guarantee you that there are no laws regarding the fact that girls must be 20 or over to work in a gogo club.

Dave the Rave is a bar manager in Thailand and he can chime in here but I can guarantee you that it is not true. The clubs know that the younger girls get barfined more and there is no law stating that it is illegal for a girl 18-20 to work in a bar. You want to see girls 18-20 then you need to go to the beer bars and Soi 6. Also check out Peppermint a gogo.

You are a guy that doesn't like to pursue girls, likely in real life as well. Doesnt mean that your approach is wrong, but it does mean that you are leaving out a massive chunk of the potential barfines in Thailand. Thai girls are not normally aggressive unless they are older or less popular. If you are only seeing the girls that are aggressive, then it is likely that you will have more older girls in your crosshairs.

My intent when going on these trips is to comply with the laws of the United States. If I saw any illicit activity taking place, then I would immediately leave the general area as I would not want to be associated with the activity.

The US law is worded in such a way that they just need to prove "intent". Therefore, I do whatever I can to distance myself from any conduct which I even remotely believe might be unlawful and from those individuals who have knowledge of such conduct.

It troubled me that a few people in other threads had witnessed illicit activity and decided to remain in the area. One person stated they had remained in a bar where a police raid was in progress and they had advanced knowledge of criminal conduct. Someone else stated they had stayed in a hotel where proper identification checks were not being made and they were sleeping around with persons that did not have proper identification on them. Another individual had stated they were in an area where women were admitting to him that they were under 18 and engaging in the act of prosecution. Basically, these individuals are building a case of "intent" against themselves.

I would never remain in an area where I witnessed criminal conduct and would never venture out with a woman who does not have proper identification. If I witnessed a hotel not conducting proper identification checks, then I would immediately check out. If a woman admitted to me she was under 18, I would then get as far away from that woman as possible to include leaving the general area.

I am very happy the Secrets Hotel checks identification, photocopies the identification and keeps records. If they did not conduct such checks or slipped up even once then I would immediately check out of the hotel. I am also very happy with my decision of staying in the main bar/go-go areas. These areas seem to be well regulated and my observation is they are free of criminal conduct.

It is my intention to comply with United States law in everyway to the fullest extent so I am extra vigilant about what is going on around me and the people I am associating with. I ask the women their age, I check identification, I do not stay in hotels where identitification is not checked and I stick with well known bars/go-gos in the main areas. I have not witnessed any criminal conduct on this trip, but if I were to see such conduct then I would immediately leave the general area.

Some of you seem to have advanced knowledge of these activities. Those who have this knowledge, please avoid me because I do not want to be associated with you.

I do not feel comfortable with what is going on in Soi 6. That is not an area I feel I should be in. I am not attracted by the ladies on Soi 6. I do not wish to patronage the bars there. I will leave it at that.
