Prologue
I'm submitting this report on Lima from a mostly non-Spanish speaker point of view. Despite this handicap I had a great time in Lima last month (November 2009) with a little help from my friends (new and old).
I live in a cold, northerly city in the Upper Midwest. Sort of out of the blue I had the opportunity for a mongering vacation of a week or so. I have spent quite a bit of time in Asia (Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore) mostly had great experiences and some bad, but I know my way around. However, this time I had neither the time or money to head east and I also was looking for something outside my comfort zone.
Completely ignorant of this hemisphere (outside of the local non-talent), I did quite a bit of research on CH and other sites. I was settled on Rio until I figured out I couldn't get a visa in time. Lima seemed to be a little out of the way but cheaper and I have a chat friend, Kelly, who I've known for years but never met and lives in Trujillo, a ways from Lima. I only needed 45k frequent flier miles, so it seemed like a good option.
I've read posts that language can be a problem in Peru. I speak a few words of Spanish (despite the fact that my business involves importing goods from Spain). I know most of the numbers, how to say hello and a few other phrases but that's about it. Despite this and at the urging of Kelly (married with children and not really an option) I decided to make the trip. (Kelly was also completely supportive of me having a good time and finding girls, so that pretty much cliched it).
I also got quite a lot of good advice online and offline from the legendary RT Gooch and I credit him and others for paving the way.
These have been posted before but I found the following very useful outside of CH:
Perutops has tons of stuff for Spanish speaker and the English Forum is very useful (moderated by RT) http://www.perutops.com/foro-relax/forumdisplay.php?f=56
Shy's First Timer's Guide on Perutops: http://www.perutops.com/foro-relax/showthread.php?t=123876
Preliminaries
Setting up the trip involved (1) Finding lodging, (2) Seeking out any natives that might be friendly, and (3) Coming up with a game plan.
(1) I researched a number of girl-friendly hotels in Miraflores mentioned on this site using Pizza Alley as the epicenter. Nice ones were in excess of $100 and the others seemed a little run down. One of my quirks is that I like to stay in a place that at least as nice as my own. I also find that girls are friendlier and more relaxed in a nice place (or maybe they think I'm rich and want more money). I'm also a bargain hunter. Anyways, I found apartments are the way to go. You can Google for Miraflores rentals. I ended up with this one: http://www.perfectplaces.com/vacation-rentals/36789.htm. It was five blocks for Pizza Alley, very comfortable with a kitchen, sitting area, large bedroom, and two baths for $60/night plus a $25 cleaning fee. It could have used a tiny bit of maintenance but mostly it was great. Girls were not an issue. In fact the night guard was in my corner and I think I was his hero by the end of the trip.
(2) When I travel I often like to make friends online first through dating and other sites with non-pros. In the least have a tour guide during the day and more if it works out. Another poster had some luck on LatinAmericanCupid.com (LAC). I've also used SugarDaddyForMe.com (SD4M) to look for talent. I find on this site girls know you are expecting something in return for your generosity so I'm usually able to find a girl who is willing and able.
I posted on LAC for $25. There are tons of gorgeous women from Lima looking for guys mostly for romance but who knows what else. Not very many spoke much English and that might have been a problem. I tried about 40 or so and got two responses. One girl in broken English I figured out live quite a distance from Lima. The other had decent English skills but admitted he/she was a TV and although she seemed nice and interesting, I wasn't headed in that direction.
However, I found one girl on SD4M , Marita, who wanted to be my tour guide and does this for a living, had great pictures and we agreed to meet up when I arrived. Alas I never got anywhere with her, but we had a good time and she knew the lay of the land.
I also researched Craig's List. I have found in the past that semipros who don't want to be identified will cater to foreigners here and I met a great girl in Portugal one time this way. I emailed before I left asking about rates and availability and several of the girls responded. Brisa is a known commodity and has very good reviews here and on Perutops. First she quoted me $80 then wrote again and quoted $200 for a two girl. I wrote back and she agreed to $160 for her and another girl for 2hrs. She her friend Margarita were the only ones I had a session with so I can't speak for the other girls. One or two gave me the tourist rate of $120 but I countered with $80 and they agreed, but alas I wasn't able to schedule them. All of this was done in English via email.
Last I emailed Shy and he said he might be able to set up a party and gave me his number to contact when I got there.
(3) Based on the postings here and the other research I came up with a list of attractions:
1. Tequila Rock
2. Relax y Vida
3. Club 69
4. Shy's Sex party if the timing was right (see Shy's First Timer's Guide - above)
With a phrasebook in hand and joy in my heart (or was it lust? hard to tell) I set out for Lima.

Fethard.
Could you pass me the name/number of your TV online...LOL...geezus, that is hilarious.
I had been reading about LAC, so I decided to go perusing. Since my experience is in Rio, I found it funny that literally within 2 minutes I saw 2 girls that had ads on Hotside.com.br (a free-lancer escort site). 1 of them I was just with a little more than a month ago.
So, I have hard time thinking a lot of girls are looking for *romance*. They can call it for what they like -- but maybe all these girls should belong to "SugarDaddyForMe"....that is exactly what they want.
Keep the updates coming. Girls from Lima, Peru are very pretty.

Yes, the TV was tempting, maybe next time, lol. Actually, I was tempted to meet him/her just for conversation and out of curiosity but thought my time and efforts were best spent elsewhere.
I don't know, I didn't get very many hits on LAC, but then I didn't work very hard at it. I might prepare something in Spanish using Google Translator next time.
I'll have the next (first) installment up soon. I'm dotting the t's and crossing i's.
