I think, but am not sure, that the women have to buy a drink or two there, so they've got 500 baht or more in sunk costs before they find they find their dates for the night. Actually, Poseidon charges farangs extra because they charge extra. There are plenty of soapies that don't charge farangs extra notwithstanding our massive giant manhoods (although there are also quite a few, particularly in the general area where Poseiden is, that do).

As to the standard prices these days, at the go-gos it seems 2000 baht for short-time is the new standard, and somewhere between 3,000 and 4,000 for long-time, assuming the girl will even go long-time.
