The total lack of sleep mitigated my level of depression in coming back home.
1st class, did not hurt either.
Also, fortunately, I did not get any 3rd degree at Customs back here.
I have been "on a high" ever since.

Conclusions:

1) I will NOT wait 5 years again, to go back to the Far East.
2) I luv Bangkok.
3) Pattaya, is the sexual sewer of the universe. I must go back!
4) K.L. is great, but Malaysia offers so much more. Need to incorporate a major diving session within the plan.
5) Singapore I knew before arriving, is my kinda' town. I will return ASAP.
6) Batam, luved it also, but will return only if I tire of Singapore. In it's place, I think I would like to try Jakarta or Surabaya.
7) Some of you hombres, are true sportsmen, and I thank you for your comments and private messages.
8) Others, should get a life. Don't get all pissed 'cause I got a little more money than you. You shoulda' listened to your mama, and stayed in school, like I did.
9) Re: Prices, sure I could of negotiated harder. But, I didn't feel the need. I wanted to pass around a little of my good fortune to others.
10) Re: Prices Part 2. If you think these were high; wait until I report from France this summer. It will drive some of you guys to drink, oh, but you drink already? OK! Drink more then.

I agree with your statements regarding prices.
I have heard the " If you pay $$$, you're going to ruin it for everyone else." well, that is why Pattaya is there, for those worried about you paying too much.
Funny thing, in Pattaya, there seems to be no real correlation between price and quality.
I have traveled Europe, P4P there will rapidly deplete your wallet.
Remember the words of Karl Marx,

I very much enjoyed the travelogue Dr. J and I thank you for it. The photos and info on K.L. and Batam were especially helpful, not having been to either place.

Spending money in the mongering game has nothing to do with how much money you have but more to do with being smart with the money you spend and getting a good VALUE. If you think that banging cougars for 10 times the actual price is a good value then that is all that matters. I am just parting advice from someone who has been there and done that. No need to assume that I am not as educated as you are or that I am not doing ok myself.

I don't like the guys that are plain stupid and over pay as run of the mill mongers.

However, Dr. J has class and if he wants to spend this way, I don't feel it will rub off on most of us. The girls know they have a "rich guy."

I travel mainly on business so I have to fit in my mongering on available days and evenings. I will therefore pay up to insure a good experience and to minimize the search time.

I appreciate periodic doses on the forum of Vitamin J.

I enjoyed the report too, well done, even saw one of my favorites, but she goes as Nong when she is with me.........as far as what you paid, it is the same ole vets that complain, almost on schedule, "too much will ruin it for everyone", horse pucky!!!!!!!!!..........these are human beings we are talking about, if you extent some kindness in the way of a nice tip, we all win in the long run, they know that good service warrents a nice tip.......its a win-win.....just my two cents........YMMV

Your logic sounds like that of a strip club patron thinking if you spend 40 hours a week in the champaigne room, the stripper will eventually fuck you out of gratitude...

The best examples I can give are Tijuana and Costa Rica.

In TJ and Costa Rica, you have throngs of gringos throwing money at the place and the price continues to increase.

But that's not my beef with overpaying. My issue with overpaying the puta union is the same as consistently overpaying any union. Sooner or later, they realize they've reached the top of the pay scale, then they want to work less time, then they want to work less when they are at work. and so on...

I have no problem with paying a $60 hooker $100 if she rocked me... It's the paying $100 and getting $40 worth of work I have a problem with...

Dr J lives a good life. it sounds like he worked, made some money, and is now enjoying the money he made. you can't take it with you so you might as well spend it.

i can only imagine the crap you guys would shell out to someone who died before they could spend their last million. and it would be totally justified. in this case, i'd cut the guy some slack.

ps. i was in phuket back in oct and saw a gal come back to the bar with both hands in the air showing 10 fingers. i asked my barfine what the girl was doing. she said the gal went with a customer and he paid her 10,000thb short time. the previous night it was 7,000thb. so all the girls were waiting to see what amount would be paid that night, hence the hands in the air upon the return. 17,000thb for approx. 2 hrs time.

Europe will be pricey. My buddy said girls in Sardinia goes for 1000EUR.
