Money Matters: The use US dollar as their primary currency.
Getting in:
Two airlines fly into gps, they are aerogal and tame. They hub out of quito and gye. Cost should be around $300-450 RT for this quick 1.5 hour flight (from gye). Allow extra time in the airport to get your tourist card and have your luggage screened prior to checking in for your flight.
Once you get there (isla baltra being the main hub for the galapagos island), there is a $100 national park entrance fee. Then you hop on the bus to a ferry (cost 80 cents) that takes you to santa cruz island where there will be taxi pickups awaiting to take you into Puerto Ayora, the urban center of the island. It's about a 40' drive.
---------------------------------------------
A special bit about guayaquil.
Hotels:
If you intend to fly into gye, the three hotels that aren't girl friendly are the sheraton, the hilton and hampton inn. That said, if you tip the doorman, he'll find a way for the chica to get to your room.
I recommend the ramada hotel/casino since right behind it is the zona rosa, famous for their bars and clubs. Lots of cute civilians in this area. Relatively safe to walk since there were many police patrolling this area.
Transportation:
Many hotels offer free shuttle. Once in town, look for the new yellow taxis. Cost should be 2-3 dollars from the malecon to salame and amadeus, and 5 dollars to isla del tersoro.
p4p venues:
The trick to gye is getting there early before the locals get drunk because once they do, they may become violent towards foreigners.
calle 18: opens early at 8am. Known for having alot of thieves. I was advised to go very early (late morning, early afternoon) and with a wingman if possible. around calle 18 and salinas. Never made the trek but heard the price is now $10 instead of $6.
Salame: Small mid to low end brothal on the corner of lopez and quito (look for the metal gate entrance with stairs leading up. Entrance is on the quito side vs lopez side of the street). Lots of local chicos there. About 15 gals, 3-4 were quite cute! Area out front is dangerous late at night when the buses stop running and the potential for danger inside also exists since the doorman doesn't thoroughly frisk incomers and it's shoulder to shoulder there very early on. $10 + 2.50 for the room. $1-2usd entry fee.
Amadeus: cover 10, in room 35usd, salida 45usd. 60-100 for a session. no pat down, one dancer at time. locals, dark inside. many cute girl next door spinner types. eduadorians and some colombians. some streetwalkers outside. Many known for their sleeping power they put into your drinks.
isla del tesoro: weekend cover $17, salida $35-45. session 60-150+. prividos only, not for sex. light pat down, lots of tourist and locals. 3 girls dancing at once, about 15 girls total consisting of colombians and equadorians
Spoke to other locals and there are a plethora of other brothals in the area that I didn't have time to explore.
I was told that all venues closed on sunday. Good day to set up a date with one of the strippers.

gye is very dangerous but galapagos is totally safe. It's a small island so it's pretty mellow there, even at the brothals.
