Here is what I learned by finally going to Rio--mainly Copacabana.

Do go to Sugarloaf Mountain. The view of Rio from up there is as beautiful as you have seen and heard.

Do go to Corcovado. The view is not quite as beautiful as from Sugarloaf, but still very worthwhile.

Do go to Carnival at the Sambadrome. It is Spectacular!

Don't tuck in your shirt. No one does.

Don't wear nice sneakers. No one does.

Do only wear sleeveless shirts. Everyone does.

Do only wear Havaianas. Everyone does.

Do see Talita at Centarus. She had the prototypical Brazilian bunda and body. $R437 for 40 minutes. Pay in advance, as has been reported here before. She was a real beauty. BBBJ. DATY. Pretty good English. Grade A

Do see Kayla at Luomo. Likes to talk dirty and works hard to please. Also a real beauty. $R275 for 40 minutes. BBBJ. DATY. Some English. Grade A-

Do see Susie at Luomo. An ebony beauty. My favorite of the three girls I saw. BBBJCIM. Had to do 80 minutes with here since I spent too much time DATY and did not finish in the initial 40 minutes. She worked very, very hard to please. Very little English, but she understood, "I want to fu@# you!" $R514. Grade A+

Don't use the photos on this site as a guide to the quality of women in the Termas. The quality at both of the Termas I went to was excellent! Far better than most of the photos posted here.

Do have Don at http://www.amerioca.net/ pick you up at the airport and drop you off at the airport. He is a nice guy and was on time for both the pickup and dropoff. He is also a good contact if you should get into any sort of unforeseen trouble. I had his number with me at all times.

Don't expect to swim in the ocean at Copacabana beach. The water is cold and the surf is rough.

Do use Pimsleur CD's to help you learn basic Portugese. Knowing Spanish is helpful in learning Portugese, IMHO.

Do say, "Tchau!" for "Bye!"

Agree with your do and don't, but the Havaianas only apply to guys. If one of you happens to travel with your gringa wife or girlfriend - for whatever reason (it does happen :-) to Rio, please do not let her wear Havaianas at night when going to clubs and bars. No Brazilian girl would be caught dead in Havaianas during an evening out - I shudder when I see the Gringa's in Lapa at midnight walking around in Havaianas, versus the high heels, platform shoes, etc, worn by the Brazilian girls.

Also, NOT tucking in your T-shirt should be a given at this point including the US.... except in some cases (i.e a nice black shirt, etc)

$R437 for 40 minutes? That is about 250US, right? It is more than Canadian prices for top babes.

At today's exchange rate, that is correct.

Your prices include entry and double sessions in some cases. Your price per session goes down if you session more than once in the same termas.

DON'T pay 514R(~$300) for 80 minutes with a termas girl. Most will accept that and a lot less for the night.

What's the deal with Help disco? I heard it is already closed. Where are the girls now?

Brasil was inexpensive 5-7 years ago. It's not a bargain destination at this point, although you can still do very well sticking to agencies, apartments and indy garotas. Termas are pretty pricey now.

Cat's right. You can get a great piece of ass for R$500 (Centaurus) or R$80 (Bel Prazer). For about R$160 all in you can get 2 hours with a Karla's/Scortshow girl.

I don't know what you're paying at home, or even where home is, but I challenge you to find a pro in the states that measures up, performance-wise, to the brasileiras.

There are cheaper places than Brasil, but I've yet to find a better place (IMHO).
