Hi Everyone,

Just got back from AC 3 days ago and I thought I might submit this short trip report.

DAY 1:
We arrived at Manila International Airport at about 7.30pm.
We had a pre-arranged driver to transfer us from Manila to Angeles for 2,400p.
We were in Angeles by 9.30pm.
I checked in to the ABC Hotel and my friends checked into The Lewis Grand.
We weren't able to book in the same hotel due to availability.
A quick shower and we were out of the hotels and down the street to the Fields Ave bars by 10.30pm.
We spent the evening bar hopping till 2am.
I ended up barfining a buxom girl from the "Brown Sugar" bar.
Barfine 1,500p and Tip 1,000p.
2,500p in total.
Nice girl.

DAY 2:
We slept in till lunchtime. Had a small breakfast and headed to SM Mall for a coffee at Starbucks.
The only descent coffee I found in AC was at Starbucks.
Headed back to The lewis Grand Hotel and spent the day by the pool just relaxing.
7pm we all headed out for dinner at The Swiss Chalet.
Excellent food.
8pm we started our second night of bar hopping.
Can't remember all the bars we went to but they are all pretty good.
I ended up with a cute girl.
Don't remember the bars name.
Barfine 1,500p. Tip 1,000p.

DAY 3:
Up early and met up for Breakfast at The Lewis Grand Hotel.
Food at The Lewis Grand Hotel is not bad but I think the food at ABC Hotel is far better.
We spent the whole day at the pool.
Later that night more barhopping and ended up with a dancer from the Forbidden City.
Very sexy girl.
Barfine 1,500p. Tip 1,000p.

Day 4:
Got up for breakfast again at The Lewis Grand Hotel and then we all headed back to The ABC Hotel.
Spent the whole dy and had lunch by the pool at ABC Hotel.
Eating, drinking, swimming and flirting with the waitress'.
They were fun girls. one of the girls, Tania, was so funny she kept us entertained all day.
At night, barhopping again.
I was still tired from the night before so I had the night off and didn't barfine anything.

DAY 5:
Breakfast again at The Lewis Grand Hotel, then back to the ABC Hotel for some R & R by the pool.
At about 2pm we went to Dr Holms bar for an afternoon barfine.
I barfined a little cutie for a ST.
Barfine 1,200p. Tip 700p.
At night, barhoping again.
Barfined another girl from The Dirty Duck.
My best barfine for the whole week.
Barfine 1,500p Tip 1,500p.

DAY 6:
Slept in till 12pm.
We spent the whole day by the pool at The ABC Hotel again.
3pm we went to Eruptions for an afternoon barfine.
I barfined a girl with huge tits for a ST only.
She was disapointing, but you can't win them all.
9pm barhopping again.
After my disapointing afernoon barfine, I decided to go back to the Dirty Duck and barfine the same girl I had barfined the night before.
Once again she was excellent.
Barfine 1,500p. Tip 1,500p.

DAY 7:
11am we leave AC with our pre-arranged tranfer to Manila. Price 2,400p.
We arrive at The Peninsula Hotel Makati, Manila by about 2.30pm.
Excellent hotel, heavy security presence at the foyer area. Very expensive though and a little bit stuck up.
3.30pm we jump in a cab and head for The Fusion Spa.
You wouldn't believe it, the taxi runs out of gas and the 3 of us end up pushing the cab down a main road to the nearest gas station. All the locals thought it was the funniest thing to see 3 tourists pushing thier cab and driver down the road. Quite funny.
4.30pm we arrive at Fusion Spa.
Nice massage and wash, then back to The Peninsular Hotel.
8pm we take a taxi to LA Cafe.
Some nice looking girls in here. Had a few beers and headed for Burgous St.
At Burgous St we went to a bar called Bottoms.
What a rip off. As soon as we walked in the girls started working us for drinks.
I got pissed off so we left and diddn't end up taking a girl that night.

DAY 8:
Got up early for the complimentary breakfast buffet at The Peninsular Hotel.
Excellent breakfast.
Spent the whole ay by the pool.
4pm checked out of the hotel and headed for the airport.
We took off from Manila Airport at 7.30pm and arrived back home in Sydney at 6.30am.

All in all a fun trip.

Thanks for the report. You could get hammered for over-tipping the girls and rightfully so. Tipping 700 pesos for ST and 1500 for LT is WAY out of bounds. Hopefully you didn't tip your bad barfine from Eruptions.

Just as a comparison, here is what I tip. ST = 0; LT = anywhere from 300 - 500 depending on how many times I popped.

While I firmly believe that you have the right to spend your own money any way you want, by over-tipping you are skewering the market for the rest of us.

Thanks for the report. Sounds like you had a great time.

You're going to get some grief about your tips (be glad you didn't post this on one of the AC boards). Most guys tip more in the neighborhood of 200-300 for good service and 400-500 for rock-my-world exceptional service.

Did you just guess that 1,000 and 1,500 pesos was a reasonable tip? Did you read reports on this board before making the trip?

In the ping pong ball throwing, raining cash from the balconies new AC, I doubt this guy's tipping policies in the "short-time" dominant Fields bars made a ripple in the new AC sea.

I got most of my information from this board.
Definately I think I was a bit generous but I really didn't care. I was having a good time.

This was my first time to AC. I've been to Pattaya before but never AC.
Was not real clear on the prices....?

Gooday mate, I have been to Pattaya several times and enjoyed it. What is your take on the two destinations.
I am thinking of going to AC but just cannot get Phuket and Pattaya out of my veins.

Of course the HUGE difference is that in AC the ladies full payment is already included in the barfine and a tip is just that, nothing more than a tip on top of a bill that has been paid in full. Whereas in Pattaya the ladies payment is NOT included in the barfine, that's all for the bar, and your "tip" is her sole payment for the session.

Stay at the ABC Hotel and I guarantee you a great trip.
I think that it was the ABC Hotel that made the trip so memorable. They have girls by the pool that are available, so if your lazy you don't even have to leave the hotel.

Did you took at the Pacific Breeze Hotel, you can cut your hotel bill in half straight away.

No, I didn't look at Pacific Breeze. The two hotels I looked at were The ABC Hotel and The Lewis Grand.
I like to have a good hotel, especially when it comes to Angeles City, as there is not much to do during the day and we found that we spent most of the day by the hotel pool.
ABC Hotel has a great pool area with bar and restaraunt attached. Also you can barfine the waitress' that are working the pool bar so if you get horny during your swim you have girls ready to go.
The barfine is expensive though, 3000p...! You are paying for the convieniance. If that is too expensive, you can also go outside to one of the bars next to the hotel, like Eruptions (1,500p) or Dr Holms (1,200p) and barfine there. These bars are just around to the left of the ABC Hotel as you exit and they are open from 2pm.
For me the ABC Hotel was one of the highlights of my trip and worth spending the extra money. The food was awesome as well.

Can't remember exactly what the prices were in Pattaya. I haven't been there for a couple of years.
I agree with you though, Angeles City or Pattaya, they are both great places.
The one thing I like about Angeles City is they all speak fairly good English. It makes for more fun when you can share a joke with the girls and have some descent conversation.

I've never been to Angels City but I've been to Manila. It always amazes me how easy it is to get laid in PI and how hard it is here in the U.S.

Over tipping is never a good Idea as it does effect the local market. 700 to 1500 PHP amounts to $15 to $35 U.S. To Americans this doesn't seem like much but we souldn't let the ladies get used to getting it all the time.

The local men are most effected by (American / European / Canadian / Japanese) ETC ETC tourists over-tipping. This pushes the prices beyond their means. Then when the local men can't get laid they get angry and start taking pot shots at tourists. Or they try to change the laws so the police start shutting down and raiding the clubs. Suddenly the price of PU55Y begins to go up world-wide. Then we all start feeling like Chinese with no Women, no fun, and no Cigars.

So, Don't over-tip!!!

Seriously, as you state, its your first time there. Ya, you over tipped, but you've read the comments, so enjoy your next trip. I don't care what I spend, however I do hate paying more than others are required. It makes me feel like a schmuck if the going rate is half what I pay...also applies to taxi's, food or mongering....look forward to your next report.

Oh ya, Pacific breeze is good. I to only like goo hotels, and this will also suffice.
