Delta is starting service, Atlanta/Dakar on 4 dec.
Any new info on this place? Always wanted to try Africa.

If you have always wanted to try Africa, South Africa is the place and if you fly SAA (website flysaa.com) you get a free stop over in Dakar.

The Delta flight goes on to South Africa with the stop in Dakar,,,,8 hours Atlanta to Dakar. No bad the flight from Atl to GRU is 9.5 hours.
I was thinking Dakar because of the beaches. Don't have a clue of what the mongering is like there. Except for the dated post above.

Delta use to coach share with SAA, I don't think that they fly here anymore. I booked a flight for my bother out of Washington DC on SAA it was about US$900-1000 plus airport taxs. A flight from J'burg to Cape Town on SAA will set you back about US$150 return.
