I have enough air miles for a round-the-world trip on Delta....help me plan an itenerary!

Here are Delta's rules:

Round-the-World Award Rules and Conditions

Travel must terminate in the country of origin without extending beyond the point of origin.
Backtracking is not permitted.
Flights operated by codeshare partners must permit local traffic between the stopover point and the destination.
The most direct routing applies.
A maximum of three stopovers per continent are allowed
A maximum of six stopovers are allowed for a Round-the-World Award.

My point of origin: USA, East Coast.....

My criteria include: low cost/high quality chicas.....reasonable food/lodging/transportation costs....nice places to visit, with non-hobbying sites of interest along with vibrant hobbying....not too hot/not too cold....

6 stops/3 continents/no backtracking.....ah, just planning a jaunt such as this may be half the fun!

I know Mexico and Argentina...so these two destinations are not going to be a part of this intenerary...I am thinking of Costa Rica, Colombia, Rio and several places in Asia/NZ/Australia......

I don't really fly Delta, but I would start out ATL to the land of the a"bunda"nce. Really Brasil!

IMO, Brasilian women have the best body's, and are the most skilled in the art of lovemaking! And many are quite kinky. You can probably fulfill all your fantasies, like no other place in the world?

Start learning some Portuguese, it will enhance your future trip and desires!

I'd do Colombia, Brasil; then on to Morocco; then Eastern Europe, Russia; then finish toward SE Asia and Indonesia. Sounds like a great trip!

I would only do two places and call it a life: Germany and Brasil.

By Athos on Sunday, August 03, 2003 - 10:04 pm:  Edit

Holy shit...what a trip.
Too many rules imho, it is very hard to mix culture and mongering. I guess I like to sleep to conserve my energy.
I'd do:
1. Brasil (Rio, Sao Paulo, Curitiba, Porto Alegre). Use local airline like Vasp or TAM to fly around cities. If only one city, Rio.
Argentina is out so I would cross the pond.
Columbia sounds great but I don't feel comfortable with political situation.
2. Czech Republic (rent a car in germany that allows driving to eastern europe, stop by Prague but head east to Brno and Ostrava so you can add Poland (Krakow), Slovakia (Bratislava)). Speaking German would help, difference between paying $100 and $20. If only one city, Prague is very cultural.
3. South Africa, Johannesburg.
4. Thailand, BKK, Pattaya, Phuket
5. PI, Manila, Angeles City
6. Australia or another SE asia country.
Dollar is low these days, other countries worth adding Costa Rica, Panama, Canada, Ethiopia, Croatia, Russia, Estonia, Lithuania, Vietnam, Cambodia, New Zealand.
Damn if you're bold Rumania, Bulgaria, pussy can't be more than $20.

LMAO, Pirate, don't listen to Athos. You can't do 2-3/day for twenty days even if you do take his herbs. There is plenty of time for culture too. Depending on how much time you have, I might consider:

Barcelona, Prague, St Petersburg
Thailand, Australia
Brazil

Rio is a no-brainer. The others are interesting places that hobbyist can enjoy. I would pass on most places listed on this board, despite the pay for play, as they are mediocre or worse as places to visit.

How much time do you have? This is probably the most important question. If you plan it right, and take your time, you can use local transport to connect you to the local scenes without spending a fortune. For example: fly to Venezuela (1), take a few local flights to Colombia and Costa Rica and make your way to Rio. Fly to Morocco (2). Take the night trains through Spain then Holland (save hotel fare). Then ride the rails to Eastern Europe then fly to Egypt (3) and explore that area *OR* fly to Eastern Europe and catch your next flight in Moscow. Fly to Thailand (4). Explore SEA using cheap seats from Bangkok. Stay in SEA for a long time. Make your way to Philippines then fly to Japan, New Zealand or Fiji (5). Hey, you may as well get your point's worth! Then home for a well deserved rest (6) and at least three weeks of trip reporting. Go east and you get one more day of holiday.

Don't foreget INcall is legal in most of Australia.
I would suggest Rio to Frankfurt to Prague, maybe Moscow, Singapore, Bangkok, Manila to Angeles City, Hong Kong to Adelade or Melborne and back to Los Angeles

694me, don't you find Singapore and Germany too expensive?

I left Australia off my list because I didn't figure it was a terrific mongering scene. I mean, yeah, you can screw, but so what? After Brazil Eastern Europe and then Thailand, there's no where to go but down (under). Fuggetaboutit.

Funny, everyone is going from left to right on their trip. My fantasy goes just the opposite. West coast to the PI, on to Thailand, up and over to Moscow (there must be flights from BKK to Moscow direct but I can't find them), down to either Rumania or Prague, over to the FKK clubs in western Germany, one short stop to Amsterdam so I can say I've been there, south to Ethiopia, then to South Africa where my pants would stay zipped up, across the southern Atlantic to Rio,which has to be an interesting flight for the makeup of its users, a quick move south to Buenos Aires, up to Colombia, then to the Dominican Republic, and ending the monger part of the journey in Montreal.

Here's the trip coutesey of:

Yikes, Tight fit, that's quite a trip and quite a useful web site. Don't forget that Pirate is flying on points so he's got a lot of limitations (e.g. no doubling back).

By Tight_fit on Thursday, August 07, 2003 - 09:34 pm:  Edit

No problem about doubling back. You just jump real high, I mean real high, and let the earth rotate a bit beneath you. When you come down you will have gone west. Or is it east? Whatever. :-)

I started fantasizing about one of these trips way back in the 70s. Then THE JOURNEY was to mystical India overland from Europe. I met a guy while in the Dominican Republic who had done it first class with a friend in a car that they had bought in England. He eventually ended up in Thailand before somehow coming to the DR. He was all agog about the women in Thailand and the great sex during a time that the theme was eternal enlightenment. Looking back he was the only guy I ever met who had done the trip that had a clue as to what the real fun was about.

I agree with TF. Go west, not east. Much easier to acclimate to time changes and you wind up with Latin America on the final leg of your journey (saving the best for last). Don't forget Deltas code share partners for places they don't fly (ie:BKK).

I once did a twice around the globe on one trip without ever "legally" setting foot in the US (only in a transit lounge) Going east to west is always easier on the body. Don't forget to include NZ on the itinerary. They have recently legalized prostitution there, the country is beautiful and offers various venues. Only place I have ever been where you can be on the beach in the morning, rain forrests at noon and snow skiing in the afternoon. People are real friendly and you may find yourself invited to dinner in a complete strangers home (stop and bring the beer). Exchange rate is pretty favorable now too.

have a fun trip

Go East, gain a day; go West lose a day. Just ask Phileas Fogg, gaining that one extra day saved him twenty thousand pounds!
