I have a buddy who always plays music while he fucks back at the hotel.
I never put in the effort since I was lazy, but decided to give it a shot for my next trip to set a little atmosphere. The intended audience is Filipina ladies.
Based on my previous experience in the Philippines, most ladies LOVE 80's ballads. But this was five years ago. I still vividly remember sitting next to PhoenixGuy in a karaoke shack with his lady singing a song from Ray Parker Jr called "the past." I didn't know Ray Parker Jr sang anything other than Ghostbusters.
Anyway, I want to include a variety of 80's, 90's and 2000's with some Carpenters thrown in for good measure.
Here is my list so far. Do any of you do the same?
Boys II Men - I'll make love to you
Carpenters - Close to You
Carpenters - Superstar
Elton John - Can you feel the love tonight?
Extreme - More than words
Journey - Faithfully
Mariah Carey - We belong together
Melissa Manchester - Looking through the eyes of love
Ray Parker Jr - The past
Roxette - It must have been love
Roxette - Listen to your heart
Savage Garden - Truly Madly Deeply
Shania Twain - You're still the one
Whitney Houston - One moment in time
Whitney Houston - I will always love you
Peter Gabriel - In Your Eyes
Dido - Thank you
Colbie Caillat and Jason Mraz - Lucky
Rascal Flatts - I Melt
I am tempted to add You're body is a wonderland by John Mayer and You're beautiful by James Blunt, but I really fucking hate both of those songs.

I discovered some years ago that there is an inverse relationship between how much Filipinas like any particular song, and how much I like any particular song. Fortunately Filipinas will listen to any damned thing you want to play and if you say it is good, they will say that it is good.

This will certainly set the mood, make her feel like a woman.

I'm with IAS. The music they like I generally detest. I'd rather have a root canal than listen to Roxette. So I'm not going to weigh in with my list, because it doesn't take the AC girls' tastes into consideration.

I like more local techno music to loosen things up. I think the Pinays have their own groups (sexbomb, etc). I guess i got so used to the Indos places with the blaring techno stuff while doing the wild thing in the rooms. the Colombian gals always want music but will break out into dance at the most inportune times though when they like a song (remember the "Gasolina" song).

Merlin.
Here is an Indo song for you. Heard this a lot the last time I was there.

There is another version of this done by a female group as well.

Air Supply "All out of Love." and "Every Woman in the World"
The Philippine Ladies LOVE Air Supply ! TRUST ME!

Most hookers I know prefer the sound of money coming out of your wallet. The music doesn't matter much.
That said, I wouldn't play any of the gay shit in this thread since I'm probably 1)in a whorehouse or 2) at my place with a whore, neither of which is a high school prom and thus, neither requiring syrupy love music.

Those are quite impressive lists. Although, I only need 'The One Minute Samba', by Sergio Mendes.

Not my favorite but play Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis and you have to beat them away from your dick with a stick !!

I go with the Indo Techno music every time if the is some inebriation going on. In my experience, the Techno works to get the good fucking going in Indo, PI, and China. Lots of good timely change in rhythm, and the general lack of known lyrics keeps 'em from singing along.
After sex I usually turn on the snore machine for the girl to listen to.

Indo techno, plus E, plus Indo lady.............. My soul will surly wind up in hell for partaking in that endeavor. Must be like smoking crack or something. You know it is wrong on every level but fuck the consequences, it's as good a feeling as anyone could possibly experience in life. Mmmmmmmmmmm, Kowloon Disco Surabaya circa '07. Life will never be as good again.

I like the song "Let me fuck you up the ass" That is about as romantic as I get.

Azguy,
sounds like a personal statement containing a hidden desire to be a sadistic proctologist.

There would be no point in my playing the Carpenters to get the girl into the right mood. After a couple of their songs I would likely kill myself to take myself out of the misery, thereby depriving me of a happy ending.

But as long as we are talking music, I recently discovered my new second-favorite recording artist (a very close second to Jorge Benjor): Oliver Mtukudzi, who hails from Zimbabwe. The country may be totally fucked up, but the music there definitely is not.

He sounds exactly like every other new age southern African ethic singer thats around at the moment to me, he is also a Xhosa or as they are called in Zim Shona, Zulus make the best music...usualy wile killing Xhosas.
His stuff is also quite derivative of Mango Grove and Johnny Clegg. I also hate the sound of penny whistles, wich he seems to use on every song.
By Laguy on Saturday, September 04, 2010 - 04:39 am: Edit |
I thought you listened to only one of his songs Isawal. Anyway, I'll take Bonnie Raitt's musical tastes (she loves his music and has recorded some of his compositions) over Isawal's. Sorry bro.
By Laguy on Saturday, September 04, 2010 - 06:02 am: Edit |
I only meant initially a mini-hijack of this thread to introduce Oliver Mtukudzi to those who do not already know his music. However, in addition to the above (Isawal told me via private mail that he posted something that would piss me off and he was right!) not only do I intensely dislike Johnny Clegg's whiteboy African music (as Isawal knows), and love Oliver Mtukudzi's which is completely different and in a class of its own, but the notion that the latter is derivative of the former not only ignores the obvious on hearing both, but ignores the fact Mtukudzi seems to have been playing music before whiteboy African Clegg.
Isawal, wasn't it enough that you tortured me with your musical selections when we were driving around South Africa? Do you now have to torture me with your ill-informed musical analyses?

Tube Snake Boogie
Tush
Gotta love those good ol' boys from Tejas!

Porker, that "song" is awful! Two minutes was all I could take. I assume the last 3:44 minutes are just as bad.

Tube Snake Boogie and Tush, you left out their other favorites!
Pearl Necklace, Legs, Zipper Job, She's Killing Me, and Bang Bang

This past year I finally got off my ass and bought a micro-SD card for my ancient unlocked SAMSUNG phone so I could load up some songs.
I had noticed that while sessioning that I could use some proper mood music. Since my phone's music player is not that sophisticated, I made playlists on my PC and recorded the mix into a new mp3. I made a couple of hour long mixes so that the music can help me time my sessions as well! This past year I had been lucky enough to use this setup in the private apartments in Rio, the Centro casas in Medellin and the prives in Sao Paulo.
Here's a sampling of my playlist . . .
Stick Wit U -- Pussycat Dolls
The Game of Love -- Santana featuring Michelle Branch
She Will Be Loved -- Maroon 5
Better In Time -- Leona Lewis
Wait For You -- Elliott Yamin
My Place -- Nelly
Lady -- D'Angelo
Confessions Part 1 -- Usher
Shake It Off -- Mariah Carey
Thank You -- Dido
Unpredictable -- Jamie Foxx
Over My Head -- The Fray
Lost without You -- Robin Thicke
Cry Me A River -- Justin Timberlake
Chasing Cars -- Snow Patrol
We Belong Together -- Mariah Carey
This Love -- Maroon 5
Fix You -- Coldplay

I'd add from Xenono's list:
Boys II Men - I'll make love to you
Extreme - More than words
Roxette - Listen to your heart
Savage Garden - Truly Madly Deeply
Peter Gabriel - In Your Eyes
Dido - Thank you
from Fooledagain1's list:
Foreigner -- I wanna know what love is
Foreigner -- waiting for a girl like you

You guys must be choosing music you think will help get the girls in a more fuckable frame of mind. No man voluntarily chooses to listen to anything by Roxette, Boys II Men, or Mariah Carey.
My playlists are all designed to amuse me. I'm not seducing or romancing these girls, I'm merely fucking them.
I will admit to questioning girls about their taste in music, but mainly so I can dump any girls who will obviously be offended by a musical diet of Frank Zappa, Green Day, Little Feat, Led Zepplin, Linkin Park, Los Lobos, etc.
By Topfotog on Thursday, January 06, 2011 - 05:51 pm: Edit |
Yep, I have some pretty cringe-worthy songs on my playlists but I like have a bump n grind tempo while doing the deed. I save the headbanging rock and thumping trance stuff for partying and drinking.
By Bwana_dik on Thursday, January 06, 2011 - 06:55 pm: Edit |
Hadn't noticed before that you were playing this in Brasil (I'd assumed it was for AC or Thailand). Most brasileiras really don't like this type of music, and would much prefer to listen to someone like Ana Carolina or Adriana Calconhotto. Some of 'em like sappy Bryan Adams ballads and similar crap, but most will ask you to put on some Brasilian music.

BD: I concur.
Many years ago, when I used to stay at the Atlantico Copacabana I was amused to hear "True" by Spandau Ballet all the time in their elevator and in their hallways. It is still in heavy rotation on the easy listening POP station which plays songs in English. It is a favorite make out song of mine.
Yeah, the garotas usually like to 'partay' to funk which is as monotonous as most reggaeton songs that gets played in Latin countries. I don't know enough about Brazilian music to put together a mix.
In Rio or Sao Paulo, it is still pretty quiet in the cabines with their shitty sound systems so I bring my own soundtrack. When I am having fun in my apartment there are more audio options (ie. music off the laptop; radio stations & music video channel off the TV)
And as I mentioned, when my selected mix is finished I know my session is as well. Beats checking the watch.

I suggest everyman has "My pussy is the power" on their list when in Brasil.

You gotta have some music that gets the garotas dancing in the apartment. How about "It Wasn't Me" by Shaggy??? Luomo mix always works too...
