Torrent downloads

ClubHombre.com: -Off-Topic-: Torrent downloads

By Porker on Saturday, February 12, 2011 - 07:48 pm:  Edit

Forgive me if I'm preaching to the choir (late to the party), but in the past week I have downloaded:

-- a couple dozen movies, several just released

-- 1200 amazon kindle books for the FREE (my favorite word!) kindle PC reader

-- ~30 episodes of global TV shows that will appear on mexican tv sometime in 2013

-- 50 years of playboy magazine in high def pdf format

and with firefox flash vid DL plugin --

my 50 favorite youtube vids?

Ohh, and LOTS of streaming porn?

God bless the internet?

Yeah, I was just telling someone how I spent $50.00 on a "single" back in 1990 - fifty bucks for ONE rare song... Now, you can download any song and beam it in your mp3 player. Also, have a YouTube flv-mp4-mp3 converter... Kids these days have no idea how lucky they are.

You probably already know this Porker. But just as an FYI for others out there. Make sure after you download something to take it out of the queue so it doesn't automatically start sharing it. (It actually starts sharing parts as soon as you have parts on your computer....) The RIAA and MPAA and even the PORN industry are filing mass John Doe lawsuits and then subpoenaing your personal information from your ISP based on your IP address and then suing people for $250K per infringed work, although they generally offer a settlement for $2500 to $10K later on. Absolutely ridiculous in my mind, but ah well.

You are probably safe in Mexico though.

Another program that supposedly blocks the IPs these companies use to scan the torrent networks is called PeerBlock.

http://www.peerblock.com/

PeerBlock lets you control who your computer "talks to" on the Internet. By selecting appropriate lists of "known bad" computers, you can block communication with advertising or spyware oriented servers, computers monitoring your p2p activities, computers which have been "hacked", even entire countries!

There is debate in the P2P community about the effectiveness of a program like this, but it certainly could not hurt.

If you just discovered Torrents you are indeed late to the party.

You guys are obviously much more rounded than me. I've mainly just used Torrents to download hundreds of gigs of porn.

Yeah, Living in the 3rd world has SOME advantages!

By Porker on Saturday, February 12, 2011 - 10:22 pm:  Edit

sancho, no need to Dl porn these days, xvideo.com has it all streaming?

Movies, tho... In the 3rd world we get them in the theaters about the same time they hit dvd in the states...

And tv too: Next day has perfect hi def dl's of any show?

Re: torrents, I was probably a LITTLE late to the party, but there MAY be one here that just got the internet epiphany of his life?

IAS.

Who are you using for trackers now that Empornium and PureTNA are gone?

By Porker on Saturday, February 12, 2011 - 10:30 pm:  Edit

metal, 20 years ago greenwich village record stores sold vinyl bootlegs for about 20 bucks each. I bought a few, u2 bootlegs mostly.

12 years ago I got a new desktop and napster, and was awake and glued to the screen 20+ hours a day dl'ing bootlegs/B sides/live stuff that no record company ever imagined people would ever want to hear/see.

Youtube took it all 3 times into the future.

Yeah, the young folks are lucky today!

By Porker on Saturday, February 12, 2011 - 10:32 pm:  Edit

xen, btjunkie still is good, still lists empornium stuff too.

http://www.btmon.com/ is an amalgamator of torrent indexes and tends to find allot of stuff.

For a more interesting search, there are Japanese language porn bulletin boards where they post Japanese porn torrents. Use Google translate to identify relevant Japanese titles, then copy and paste the Japanese text and the English word "torrent" into a Google search and you are likely to get hits on allot of the Japanese porn boards.

Thank you for utorrent indeed - without it I would go crazy on the many long International flights without anything to watch. Downloaded pretty much all season's of my favorite TV shows (like all season's of Dexter, Rome, Big Love, 30 Rock, The Good Wife, Curb your Enthusiam, etc, etc).

.....and yes, tons and tons or porn :-)

I pretty much stick to piratebay.org, or isohunt. The latter, however, is quite limited in the US and has started to block some content due to a lawsuit - in Brazil I still get access to everything.

What really sucks is that many of the Network's block IP addresses from overseas, so I can't stream from their sites. The only option I have is to download.

Bye bye btjunkie (tears!!!), anybody have a good alternative? MongerX told me he dl's sports a few hours after the games are played? Mainstream torrent search engines never list them...

I use uTorrent set on random ports as my client and PeerBlock. VLC for playback.

No cable or satellite at home. Call me a cheap bastard, but it is a waste to me. Besides, I love it so much that shows I grab already have the commercials taken out.

For torrents, I use PirateBay almost exclusively. I like the search and browsing filters better than any others I have tried. Comments on torrents are very handy for odd stuff.

My %95 of what I grab comes from 5 trusted uploaders at Pirate Bay. TV: ettv, TvTeam, eztv Movies: .bone, froggie, TvTeam If I use anyone else I research their history first.

On movies, you really have to watch out and learn the terminology. I never bother with anything labeled as TS or CAM.
