Actually, I have never been a birther nor have I ever questioned the legitimacy of Obama's citizenship. I fully believed the HI birth certificate. However, if you click the link and read the article there are some interesting points which could be cleared up by an explanation from Obama.

The brochure was created by Acton & Dystel when it was promoting Obama as the author of the never-produced “Journeys in Black and White.”

That biography states:

“Barack Obama, the first African-American president of the Harvard Law Review, was born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii. The son of an American anthropologist and a Kenyan finance minister, he attended Columbia University and worked as a financial journalist and editor for Business International Corporation. He served as project coordinator in Harlem for the New York Public Interest Research Group, and was Executive Director of the Developing Communities Project in Chicago’s South Side. His commitment to social and racial issues will be evident in his first book, Journeys in Black and White.”


So my question to you and everyone else is why was Obama's literary agent in the early 90s claiming in writing that Obama is from Kenya?

Let me put this in perspective. Lets say you were hiring me for a high position at a company. Lets say the CEO of Yahoo.com. In my resume/CV I state to have been born in the USA, but then a document from my literary agent is uncovered by investigators stating that I was from Kenya. Dont you think that might require an explanation?

There are numerous possible explanations: the literary agent got his facts horribly wrong; some wing nut invented this whole thing, and there never was a brochure, etc.

You are obviously missing the point. I hate to explain things step by step to allegedly educated adult males with such worldly experience but I feel I have to in this instance.

Lets say that Mitt Romney had proclaimed he was born in Mexico back in 1991 by his literary agent then the Democrats would be playing that up with commercials and youtube videos. CNN would probably have that on its front page and you folks would be on here talking about it. It would be pretty weird to say the least and even I would have to call it into question if that were the case.

The point of this post is not to demonstrate that Obama is from Kenya, but to point out that Obama will literally say anything to further his interests. If he has to say he is Muslim and fron Kenya then he will do it if that furthers his interests. Its all about credibility. How credible is a man who claims such things which are not true? Not very credible IMHO. Its also very weird. The local police force or the FBI would not trust a man who once lied about his background. He wouldnt be able get a security clearance making such wild claims. So if we cant trust a man to be an officer with such a background why should we trust him to be the President?

Can I ask you a question? If one of your buddies claimed he was from Kenya at one point in his life, would you honestly stand up for that? You cant stand up for stupid.

The POINT, moron, is there is NO--repeat--NO evidence that Obama himself made this claim that he was born in Kenya. ABC News dug a little deeper than the right wingers at Breitbart:

Ok, so you hire this publicist or literary agent. Then they make up some pamphlets or other written material about you and they dont get your approval first before handing it out? That doesnt sound just a little bit odd that Obama wasnt involved with what his agent was doing and the agent just published whatever without Obama's permission?

Come on now. The agent would not want to get sued for publishing non-approved material. More then likely, Obama approved this pamphlet before it went out.

Now that the pamphlet is out on the Breitbart website, why doesnt one of Obama's spokesmen issue a statement about it? I think its because they dont want to give attention to one of Obama's fuckups. Obama lied about his background pure and simple. He wasnt a big wheel back then so he thought no harm in lieing a little on the resume.

Why isn't anyone other than Breitbart paying attention to this non-story? Because it's a non-story. Only you and Breitbart seem captivated by it.
