So because I am a gadget whore I decided to get rid of my smaller PowerShot SD 4000 IS and upgrade to a Canon S100. It is a lot bigger and heavier, but I have been really happy with it so far.

For the hardcore photogs on here, please excuse anything I get wrong as I am barely an amateur. But I was quite happy with the way some of my pictures came out when I set the lens to 24 mm, turned off the flash and then snapped the shot on automatic.

I found it set the shutter speed to 1/25 and the f stop to f/2.

What I like most about this is since the flash is off it doesn't reflect off the baby powder the ladies put on their faces.

(BTW, that is indeed what the Pinays put on their faces that we have often referred to as the clown makeup. It is just fucking baby powder.)

I found this out by accident as I started buying baby powder for my shoes to remove the stink after 24 hours of flight. I usually leave it by the nightstand and almost EVERY single Pinay I fuck grabs it and slaps it on their face on the way out. Weird.

Anyway, the light at the Wild Orchid has been decent for these photos. I posted another photo in the Wild Orchid thread and here is another.

I also like the fact my pictures aren't yellow anymore. Not saying I still won't have some horrible pictures as I probably will. But I like the way my Wild Orchid ones came out.
