That's on a par with calling the cops because you got shorted on the drugs you just bought. People actually do such things!

Actually that's the real life story behind the demise of the little massage place In Angeles City that used to be on Raymond st next to Lovely Paradise Bar, that got raided, and is now Wine Bar instead. (and I know the story is completely true because the ladies at Mrs. MC Robinson Bar told me so, and they are 100% reliable ;-) ) The story was some guy took ST there, (and who knew they had ST there. I always figured it actually WAS a massage place...DOH), demanded a refund because he wanted to go two rounds and the lady figured one and done. Made a huge scene, mama threw him out, he went to the cops, the cops took the complaint VERY seriously and raided the place and arrested the staff and mama on charges of engaging in prostitution under the guise of being a massage parlor.....without bribing the police first. ;-) (very serious charges in PI) Anyway, that's the official version I heard.

Either that or the owner of Lovely Paradise Bar is very well connected, wanted to expand, needed the space next door to open another bar, and came up with a way to take out the previous owner??? I can only speculate. In any case my experiences at the new bar have been universally fantastic so I'll stay out of AC politics.

And staying out of AC politics has the added benefit of allowing you to stay out of AC jail.
