When John McCain ran in 2008, I didn't really like the man. Although I didnt like the man, I didnt think he was crazy or unintelligent. He was simply not the best candidate for the position. After the last several months my opinion has changed. I really think John McCain is a complete nut-job and should retire. He is simply not fit for service in Congress.
I came to this opinion after seeing McCain visit the Syrian rebels which are composed of Al Qaeda Islamists. This seemed to be as much insulting to me as it was nutty. Both Assad and the rebels in Syria are bad people so why did McCain pick sides? Then later on McCain became so eager to bomb and send troops into Syria. Then when Putin wrote an op-ed in the New York Times, McCain came back with his own crazy op-ed in Pravda which sounded really really nutty.
During these moments, I even found myself siding with some of the Democrats like Chris Van Hollen. I felt happy that Chris was elected because he was such a notable voice to stop the Syria madness.
I was never for the invasion of Iraq. I was never for this extended war and involvement in the Middle East. Certainly, I am not for any involvement in Syria. I believe most Americans agree with me on this issue and its the one thing which both Democrats and Republicans agree on. I have no idea why John McCain would go against the majority of Americans in this regard.

Maybe you should retire. If you can't decide, let the members of CH vote.

I'm looking for someone I can vote for: a social libertarian who will not worry about who I'm fucking or what I'm smoking, who is also a fiscal moderate (who won't gut the economy with huge cuts but also wants to see spending reined in and made sensible).
So far I haven't found one politician who represents my views.
Sarah Palin almost looked fuckable, but I'd vomit on her the first time she opened her mouth. Never met a fuckable federal legislator.

You could always fuck Bristol Palin. Anybody can fuck Bristol. You don't have to use a condom.

Trek-
IAS- probably safer to bareback some of your Raymond St. sluts than Bristol Palin.

So are you suggesting a Raymond street slut for high political office? I hadn't considered that but but now than you mention it, couldn't be any worse than what we have to chose from now.

All our politicians are sluts, and the Raymond Street girls are at least cheaper sluts.

And after they've screwed you, they leave you satisfied--unlike politicians. And some of them are easier on the eyes.

Well I think Ryan did a great job of screwing over the veterans in this country with his budget plan....It only reenforces my opinion of the last Republican ticket that they only give lip service to the military when they need us, and then its back to the Dogs and Sailors keep off the grass signs.

With a Raymond street slut in office the veterans would like it when they get screwed.

I was in the Army and its a rough life. Very few occupations in the Army translate to a well paying job out in the real world. Eventually you are up and outed through their system. Very few people ever make it to retirement in the military as most are fired or kicked out the door or a more friendly term is "retired".
When there is a war to fight, its no longer us vs Hitler, but questionable debatable wars such as Korea, Vietnam and now Afghanistan where there is no clear winner. What exactly did we accomplish the last 10 years over there and how does that really protect us? Last time I checked, terrorists attacks all over the world are at a record high.
I dont think anyone is screwing the veterans. The veterans are screwing themselves by getting into the Army in the first place. Its a rough life traveling to rough places and fighting questionable wars which the majority of Americans do not support.
If you join the Army willingly, you have to know that its going to suck, you might get killed and get killed for no good reason other then because these large companies donated money to a candidate in an election. You are not really protecting anyone or guarding freedom, but advancing the agenda of a few individuals who hold the office. You certainly are not advancing the agenda of the American people. Which Americans want us over in Afghanistan?

Portege, WW II only seemed simple because it was a war between countries.
For a good explanation of what happened with Afghanistan, check out Where Men Win Glory, by Jon Krakauer, or Steve Coll's Ghost Wars. The Taliban started out as a good local thing until slimy Osama bin Laden, who was universally rejected in the Arab world, finally bribed his way in to Afghanistan.
Earlier, when the Iraqis invaded Kuwait, bin Laden had gone to the Saudis and offered to save the day with 30,000 veterans of the Soviet-Afghan war. The Saudi response was along the lines of "That's great, Mickey Mouse, now go play outside" --and then they invited the U.S. to base 300,000 soldiers in Saudi Arabia. Bin Laden took this as an "intolerable insult" (quoting Krakauer). He started putting an army of holy warriors together, and that's when the Saudis disowned him.
I didn't mean to hijack your thread; it just seemed like it was going in that direction after Trek's comment. And I thought we were about due for a discussion on Yingluck's beauty anyway because she is GLORIOUS!
(So are you really living in Pattaya now?)
