What happened to Redongo's site?

I highly doubt what happened to Red's site had anything to do with Juan's(as some may assume). This guy has profiles on about 500 message boards(of all kinds and locations) and has hacked into many sites. I think it is a form Cyber Extortion. He leaves a contact at most sites (4ffix@ linuxmail.org). The handle he uses on most message boards is d3 fcOn,and n3 rd. He has been active for the past four years, but most of his activity seem to be from within the past four months.

What he did to Red's site is very lame compared to his other work. A lot of times he leaves this "long live palestine" crap(I'm sure it's bullshit, he's propably kid in San Salvador). Regaurless I think everthing on Red's site is gone for good. It's too bad, but I'm sure that site will rebuild.

He needs to take some precautions though. Email the password to the user so there is a real contact point. He also needs to be able to see the real IP addresses of his users. Of course I'm no expert. What do I know. Just my opinion.

I don't know if I should post this or not. Hombre might not like it(he can remove it if he wishes). I don't think that free sites take anything away from ClubHombre. They can't even come close to measuring up to Hombre's product. Whatever falling out they had has nothing to do with me.

Here's just some of this cybergeeks other work...

That is fucked. I hope he has the site backed up, and can simply put it up again, with new security measures.

One question: Why do all of those sites you list keep that dfcon bullshit on them?

By Snapper on Wednesday, February 05, 2003 - 10:09 am:  Edit

d3-fcon is the hacker, also that is probably that handle he was using on chicachica.net

By Kendricks on Wednesday, February 05, 2003 - 10:16 am:  Edit

I understand that - what I am asking is, why don't these sites that you provided links to delete the "d3fcon owns you" crap?

By Snapper on Wednesday, February 05, 2003 - 10:20 am:  Edit

I'm sure if it were that easy they would. Maybe a computer geek could explain it to us.

Interesting.

I am gonna venture a guess that the commonality among all of these sites is that they were message boards?

Many message boards have inherent weaknesses that are far easier to exploit than "normal" web pages.

I suspect that is why Redongdo's website is still there, but the message board is not.

"I am gonna venture a guess that the commonality among all of these sites is that they were message boards?"

...Not all. Some are online sales of computers, some are car dealerships.

"I suspect that is why Redongdo's website is still there, but the message board is not."

...You are currect

This had peeked my interest so I did a little checking. It does look like he may be able to restore the site. Unfortunately nothing is free.

Does anyone have contact with SenorPanocha? What does he or any other mediator have to say about what happened, or what is going to happen?

I sent SenorPanocha an email about this today, and haven't heard back yet.

The d3fcon thing is weird, and sounds kind’ve familiar. I received a slew of inbox messages from one Dm7com last year, after I posted about Monica (Adelita’s Bar). More recently, I’ve received highly similar messages from a poster named Joejoe, inquiring further about Monica. Is there a connection? d3fcon is sort’ve similar to Dm7com.

I think there was someone hacking that site as far back as October. When I first signed up for the site, my listed e-mail address was somehow changed to "tjtail@hotmail.com," so my initial password was sent to that address. I found out soon thereafter that the tjtail address was the e-mail address used by "Revelation," the guy who hacked Laker's site awhile ago. I informed chicachica's moderator of this at the time; he just said "that's some interesting stuff," and we re-created the account.

It sounds like that dude might have figured out how to hack the ChicaChica.net
site and changed the email addresses listed on new accounts to retrieve passwords. Anyway, this sort've underscores the need to use a different password at THIS site, in case anyone is foolish enough to use the same password repeatedly.

Ah, well, so the Club Hombre Rejects site bit the dust. It is actually kind’ve a shame. It had some charm, but had already pretty much clanked to a halt several months ago.

Death penalty for hackers...

They makeup fake email addresses to gain access. Like "larry_at_the-pentagon.com". I'm pretty sure that Red's site didn't send a temp password to you via the email address you listed.

When I saw they spelled defcon with a 3 it reminded me of the old poster What3ver. I'm sure that's just a funny coincidence.

BTW, this D3FCON is actually a huge fucking group of people. check out their site and message board.

chicachica.not

I thought I'd take a look to see if there is any new activity. The site is back up, sort of, for anyone who is interested.

About 20 people have re-registered, and there are about 5 posts.

I see what happened. It just wouldn't let me open from Netscape. Works fine on InternetExploder.

By Curious on Tuesday, February 11, 2003 - 02:49 pm:  Edit

It opens in Netscape. It just takes an EXTRA 10 minutes or so.

I have talked to others about how slow it is, so I know it isn't just my old and slow dial up connection. Even in Exploder it takes 30-60 seconds for each message to open. I usually fall asleep before I can read it....

By Milkster on Tuesday, February 11, 2003 - 03:57 pm:  Edit

hahahaha
i am using exploder and it seems to be fine.
i run dsl and it everything seems normal with the exception of the whole damm board is empty
