TER posted a notice that as of May 14th, Paypal will no longer accept payments for adult sites.
I guess it shouldn't be much of a surprise with eBay owning them now.

Paypal was an ok payment transfer service but when Ebay bought it many new it would go downhill

remember Paypal is a buyers service not a sellers service. Paypal goes out of the way to protect buyers but not sellers.
Many sellers have been stiffed by Paypal and it has the most lawsuits compared to any other moneytransfer service

This started because other adult auction sites used paypal and Ebay threatened lawsuits against them and they filed Lawsuits agaisnt ebay so ebay dropped the Paypal for adult sites alltogether.

I have been using paypal for many years and followed this very closely
