DM, when you think about it, that Ohio St. QB play at the end of the game wasn't the worst thing in the world. If you figure an onside kick has a 25% recovery rate and they'd still only need a FG to tie, that's better than going 99 yards in 19 seconds, of which they'd have ZERO chance without penalties.
Both offenses looked like crap, IMO. Not sure if that was due to quality defenses or nerves or what. Probably a little of both.
I didn't know you could do an onside kick during a punt or drop kick...
Regardless, I agree the offenses looked horrible (including execution) and not what I expected from two top 10 teams.
I trust you'll make the 02/06 AC convention? No excuses this time...

I wish. Is Easter in February this year?
Ack-- your not going back to SEA/AC till 04/06?
Superbowl will be Feb 5th to all interested in buying an AC tix early ;)
Hook em Horns
I love Ohio State but was rooting for TEXAS so they have a shot at SO Cal.
I knew Texas would come back and I called the winning touchdown and game ending turnover before it happened as my buddy was sweating out his Texas pick.
My Gamecocks nearly pulled off a huge upset over Georgia.
Loved the Iowa State incredible upset over Iowa.

IF?
Where's your usual confidence?
Max,
If you look back at my prior posts a few weeks ago, I commented on the Pats situation. I am leary of the major changes with coaches and there are some big gaps in the D. However, that doesn't mean I will be cheering them on any less. This could be the year Indy gets in the dance-- especially if there D is not a one-night wonderr.
My Texas Longhorns were looking mighty fine tonight!
Have to see how USC does against Arkansas though!
USC looked like a runaway freight train. Will Texas be the next victim in the BCS championship game?
I'd like to see Texas and USC in the BCS Championship game! It would definately be a real game of the titans!
USC looked devastating in the game against Arkansas. They are firing on all cylinders to be sure!

YOUR DADDY'S not 1/2 bad.
er, Go 'Canes.
From the look of things, USC should be a 7-10 point favorite over Texas. This is definately the time to put your kids college money on USC. They are going to annihilate Texas. Texas has only played one tough opponent in Onio State. The other teams they played like Baylor or Kansas are just a joke. Even a team like Oceanside High School could put up big numbers on Baylor. Wait till Texas plays against USC's high octane offense with its many weapons. USC will simply wear down the Texas defense and get another BCS blowout. I put some good coin on USC to repeat and got even money after the Oklahoma burial. My bet is like a one year CD that pays 100% interest. I survived the Notre Dame scare so I will collect in January. My only regret is not putting more coin on that bet. Not to worry, the point spread doesn't scare me. In fact, I will try to make some exotic bets that pay BIG like USC -17.5 maybe at +350. The Big 12 is the Pac 10's bitch and always will be. An absolute friggin burial. Do I seem clear to you?

Palmer should win his 2nd Heisman. Of course we all know he won't. Bush's stats aren't much better than White's, and certainly not Heisman caliber. Palmer WON the Notre Dame game with a Heisman-like effort. Bush piled up the numbers against Fresno St., a day when USC shoulda lost to a comparatively crappy squad. Bush's fumbled kickoff buried them in a hole he ended up digging them out of.
I love Vince Young, but he THROWS LIKE A GIRL!!!
Porker
Are NFL quarterbacks eligble for the Heisman now ??
I know you mean Mat Leinart. I'm just fillin in for your role as wiseass since you cannot bag on yourself !

Tim Tebow is MAYBE the best college Qb I've ever seen, and that's 3 games into his Soph. season. Vince Young was probably the best, not sure what that says about those that eventually became NFl legends!

I thought Montana was a pretty damn good college quarterback.

I am not one screaming for a playoff, but this years game really does not feel like a championship game. I think that everyone is playing for #2 and might as well give the Title to Notre Dame who did beat Stanford and Duke at year's end.
I WILL TAKE OHIO STATE +3.5 AND MONEY LINE +145
LSU is known for its defense, and well their defense has been missing much of the year and especially in the second half. They had one hiccup this year against Illinois and other than that they never gave up more than 17 points. They have been listening to the media say how slow they are and how the Big Ten cannot compete with the SEC. The SEC is really a great conference, but Michigan did well with Florida and I look for Ohio State to rise to the occassion and silence the critics.
Added LSU under 25.5 for a third play.
RT here.
I don't know about any of you guys, but I just received a phone call from Taylor Cook, a freshman quarterback for the Miami Hurricanes.
He just wanted to thank me for being a season ticket holder, invite me to Canesfest, and promise me that they would not disappoint us this season.
This is even better than taking pictures of hookers wearing a cap with the U!
Go 'Canes!

For the first time in history they are going to announce the winner of the Heisman trophy before the season is over. The 2009 Heisman trophy winner will be announce this coming Sunday. The votes have already been caculated.
It will be interesting to see who the winner is...especially since the season won't even be finished yet.
The winner of the Heisman trophy is Barrack Obama. He has thought about football and even knows a little about it ...... no real experience ...but the voters decided that he is worthy of the award!

Er, go 'Canes!

Uh, go 'Canes.
