Vodka's pronounced Bodka, btw, and "cola" is more generally referred to as Coca, at least in TJ. And if you order 'ron', be prepared to answer whether you want 'blanco o oscuro' re: bacardi.

Coca for Coca cola is pretty universal in all
latin countries.. unless you're a farmer in colombia. but cola by itself would usually mean "tail".. in a way it is fitting, since the drink is a means to a end.. or tail...
Has anyone tried Pulque?

Porker...what's "oscuro"? I usually drink Bacardi ANEJO (I assume it's spiced rum) or Cognac.
Pacificio...don't know what Pulque is, care to elaborate? I was introduced to a mixed shot of Kahlula (sin leche) and Cognac and they have a name for it, but I couldn't remember. Any of you guy know what it is?

Hey Sake Bomb, What's up Bro? You gonna be in town tonight? I think I will be. I believe oscuro means blurry or obscured, probably means dark rum in this case. I think Anejo is rum that is aged in wood casks for a long time...anejo means old...I also don't think it is spiced. Bacardi makes spiced rum called Bacardi Spice...it is very good, kinda sweet. Try it mixed with 7up or coke. Pulque is a drink that is made from a cactus called maguey. It is thick like a malt and has to be consumed within a few days of being made because it spoils. It is not, according to you know who, available in northern Mexico. You get it in pulqurias in places like Vera Cruz. I have never tried it, but I have heard it tastes good...I would love to try it sometime.
See you soon.

Adelito...Thanks for the info bro. If they offer Pulque@AB then I'll try it, but I doubt it. I'm in Portland today and won't head back for a couple days so...you rock on tonight and take good care of "the lady". If she's not there (I'm crossing my fingers for you...j/k), you gotta take Gloria.
By Adelito on Wednesday, October 03, 2001 - 03:40 am: Edit |
Sakebomb I didn't go to AB, I went to her house, not too likely I'll get to introduce myself to Gloria anytime soon. She really does it for me though. I think your right about my buddy and the skinny girls though...damn, Gloria is almost twice as big as him. She was trying to talk me into coming back down late Friday night. I would love to, but not sure I can. Really had a great time last night. I drove home with a BIG smile on my face.
Oh yeah, in order to stay on topic try Bacardi Spice and diet 7up...it's a good drink while on a diet.

Michelada {spelling?} - Beer with lime juice and salt. I think this concoction is foul but some girls really like it.
