Can anyone recommend a free/cheap email service? I want browser access and substantial capacity.

Yahoo works well. Though I don't know what you mean by "substantial capacity".

Hotmail works for me. Not sure what the capacity is but seems large(have had 300 new emails at once a few times).

You can also use www.mailandnews.com or www.mailandnews.co.uk for a more European flavor.
I have both.
10 meg mail limit.

I find it useful to send more and more emails in Spanish and English. How do I set my computer to do both?
Does anyone know how I can use MS Outlook email and type in Spanish or English? Presently, I type the email in Spanish using English letters. Then I send it, but the spell check for English comes up and checks everyone of my Spanish words. I would like to have a Spanish spell/grammar check for my email. Will I need to buy a Spanish program?
I have a Spanish spell check for MS Word. I haven't tried writing it on Word then, copy and paste it into an email. Still, I don't have the Spanish fonts or at least I don't know how to access them.
Any help would be appreciated. Maybe I need a Spanish server like latinmail.com

It appears as if the domino effect is in place for free email services.
After Google announced Gmail in April, Yahoo was the first to respond by offering 100MB free and 2 GB for $19.95 a year.
Now Hotmail will announce an upgrade to 250MB free and 2GB paid starting in July. Excite Mail will also be boosting its free email offering to 125MB soon.
Gmail will still obviously be the leader though offering 1 GB completely free. India based Rediff is also now offering 1GB of free email storage space for free.

BTW, I have 5 Gmail invitations left if anyone is interested. If you Inbox me with your email address I will send you an invitation and you can signup your handle while there is still a good selection to choose from. My only condition is that I know your handle on the board. Someone I have never heard of will not receive an invitation.

It's too late for Hotmail. Even if they offered a free gig I wouldn't go back with them. Too many popups, crappy ads and a horribly slow server ... not to mention their pathetic spam filtering. Goodbye Hotmail accounts!

You're enjoying your new yahoo account. I currently have a mail + account with them and LOVE the setup they have. Just last night I emailed a buddy 14 pics in the same email. Kind of handy...
