Feel free to share with Club Hombre if you are aware of a good College or Adult Ed program for learning Spanish.
Please remember to let us know Where the classes are held.

Colegio de Idiomas de Baja California in Ensenada... website at http://www.bajacal.com
This is a small school owned by an American but has Mexican instructors. Has some set classes and schedules but can really set up anything from brief tutoring to full immersion including living with a Mexican family. I took two days of private tutoring to correct some basic errors when I was starting to learn and found it invaluable.

I've been trying to decide where to take my week's vacation that I always take the first week of March... I think I'll look into taking a class in Ensenada! Should be a fun time, I'll report back if I go for it.

Immersion language training.
If you search, you'll find there's about 10,000 immersion schools in the western hemisphere teaching spanish.
For the most part, they're cheap as dirt.
I took one last year for the entire month of March, and I'm going to do it again this year. My school of choice was the Spanish Institute of Puebla (www.sipuebla.com).
There are, it turns out, a whole boatload of schools in Oaxaca, also. So much so that when I told some spanish-speaking customers that I had traveled to Mexico to study spanish, they immediately asked, "Oh, in Oaxaca?" (I mention this because Oaxaca also seems to be a popular destination for hobbyists.)
My experience was this:
- 4 weeks of courses.
- Hosted by a local family.
- 3 meals/day except 2/day on weekends.
- airfare, gifts, liquor, pussy not included.
The course was ca $1300, airfare $550, extras ca $500. Total: $2400.
The hardest part was taking a 4-week vacation.

How easy was it to get away from the "family" to pursue the hobby? Was the Spanish Institute of Puebla close to mongering locations?
