fooledagain1, you are amazing, you laid off on game 3, and the way you bet the spurs, you would have lost, put some units up on game 4, lost your ass, but put up more units on game 5, and came out a winner. nice play.

Thank You, Big Shot Bob !!!!!!!! Spurs should of won in regulation, geez, can`t take many more games like that, will die a young death. Not likely Det can win back to back games in SA, Spurs just to good at home.

LET'S GO SPURS, LET'S GO SPURS!!! Since I'm pulling for them, it's probably their kiss of death (a la St. Louis Cardinals)...

I WANT THE SPURS TO WIN, but if they don't I won't be majorly pissed, because even though I don't like the Pistons, it's hard to find anything or anybody on their team to hate. They play good, tough professional basketball, no assholes, no real primadonnas, just good blue collar ball. If they win, good for them. But still pulling for the Spurs as an ex San Antonio resident...

NBA Finals game 7 - Spurs should win the title tonight, will pass on the game but side with Spurs covering the spread, will cash a nice futures bet if Spurs win so wouldn`t make any sense to lay points when all I need is a win for a nice score.

So how many more hot streaks like this do you need to make up for the heavy NFL losses this year?

Your blowing your own horn is like a bad parody of "Two for the Money". Makes you sound like a dope, and I really doubt you're a dope.

By Don Marco on Monday, April 24, 2006 - 01:05 pm:  Edit

fooledagain-- there is help... get is before your in financial ruin ;)

By Fooledagain1 on Tuesday, April 25, 2006 - 06:04 am:  Edit

Let`s see now, I`ve won 262.04 units throughout the 2004 &2005 playoffs with picks posted on site coming into 2006 NFL Playoffs, $100 per unit bettor has won $26,204.

Maybe I`m missing something but seems to me I don`t need to make-up for any heavy losses in NFL Playoffs, yes I did have fairly substansial losses in 1 playoff of 14 playoffs bet in to, 1 out of 14 , what am I missing here,. I`ve produced winning records in 11 of 14 playoff (78.6%), and am still up over 200 units to date,

just in case you can`t add that`s over $20,000 won to date.

Maybe in all your wisdom you can explain to me where these losses are.

By Fooledagain1 on Tuesday, April 25, 2006 - 06:30 am:  Edit

Anyone who can bet into 14 different playoffs and have just 1 substansial losing playoff and be up over $20,000 is a very amazing run in the world of sports betting.

It`s not just a good run , it`s a very, very impressive run.

The point of my post is - I`m doing it again !!!! I could be on my way to winning in 12 of 15 playoffs.

You won`t find a better 2 plus year run by anyone anywhere in the world of sports betting.

You want to keep bringing up my 1 losing playoff or you want to bring up any time I lose, but fail to mention my 11 winning playoffs and the fact I`m well up with the picks I`ve posted throughout playoffs on the site, kind of makes you sound like a dope yourself.

Yes, I will lose games and I will win games, now, any dope can focus only on the losses and any dope can focus only on the wins, to put it in proper perspective one will have to look at wins - losses = net units won, of which I`m far and away ahead on the site in the playoff run I`ve had.

Now, when I make a post as I`ve done, I`m not just refering to the 5-1 start I`ve had but the entire run I`ve had on the site, which if you know anything about sports betting is as impressive aq run as you`ll ever find in the world of sports betting, and I`m damn happy about it.

By Porker on Tuesday, April 25, 2006 - 08:47 pm:  Edit

Anybody who picks the NFL as poorly as you did this year better have stashed that previous money in a safe or go into hiding when the bad guys come looking for you, because if you bet real 'units', you probably went homeless and have zippo money to bet real units on the NBA playoffs.

And, again, am happy for you if you're winning with these picks, but you sound like a dope blowing your own horn. ESPECIALLY in light of your horrible NFL record this year.

Shaq can't hit the ocean from the free throw line once again.

I looked really hard for Riley's plan and have yet to figure it out. He's a way overrated coach in my opinion.

Antwain Who ?

Mavs in 5 .

By Don Marco on Sunday, June 11, 2006 - 10:02 pm:  Edit

Well I did pick the mavs and said Miami doesn't match up well vs. them if u recall. However, I was hoping for Miami to make a series out of it... Up to now, it's a joke. Yes, unless something drastic happens, Dallas in 5.

By Explorer8939 on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 - 09:44 pm:  Edit

The series is now 2 - 1. Does anyone still think its a 5 game series?

By Khun_mor on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 - 10:02 pm:  Edit

Yup -- It's only one game. You seem to believe the Heat showed some kind of heart ??
Wade got hot in the final quarter . The rest of the team played like crap. Miami was lucky to barely pull this one out of the fire and avoid a sweep.

Mavs in 5 most likely-- 6 at most.

By Don Marco on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 - 10:31 pm:  Edit

Explorer, yes it looks like 5, possibly 6 to me. How many games do you think Wade will play outa his gord?

By Don Marco on Monday, June 19, 2006 - 05:29 am:  Edit

Wow... what a game.

KM, is it parkay or butter now? :-)

Perhaps most entertaining is watching the mav's get more unraveled by the hour. There was a couple borderline calls (that last one being one of them), but still... The Mav's certainly don't have the swagger nor mindset of world champions of late.

By Explorer8939 on Monday, June 19, 2006 - 07:45 am:  Edit

So, will it be 5 games or 6 games?

By Don Marco on Monday, June 19, 2006 - 08:47 am:  Edit

The tide has turned from the end of game two. No doubt.

By Khun_mor on Tuesday, June 20, 2006 - 01:34 am:  Edit

Y'all counting your chickens already ?? How may games have the Heat won in Dallas as of now ?? The series should be over already. There was only one game that the Heat really dominated - other than that they're lucky to still be playing.

Wade was totally bailed out with a fantom foul call at the end of that last game. No way a call that close should have been made with 2 seconds left in the game. One of the biggest home town calls I can remember.

However, when you're surrounded by hundreds of available pussies, basketball just does not seem quite so important. I got nothing invested in this series except a true dislike of the " Big Judas". My only interest is to hope that he does not get another ring. Other than that I have much more interesting pursuits right now.

Enjoy games 6 AND 7 guys. I'll be too wrapped up in the arms of some sweet lil Pinay.

Watch 60 Minutes tonight.

Oliver Stone has wet dreams of the conspiracy theories that Tim Donaghy exposes as NBA reality!

By Copperfieldkid on Monday, December 07, 2009 - 04:16 pm:  Edit

Interesting that the NBA declined interviews regarding the allegations that many ref's have grudges against certain players, coaches, and owners. I have no compassion for Donaghy, but his stories regarding the inside track on some issues certainly seems plausible.

By Catocony on Monday, December 07, 2009 - 09:36 pm:  Edit

He sounds a lot like Jose Canseco did back earlier this decade when he first started talking about how many players were juicing up. No one believed him at first, now it's apparent he was pretty much 100% telling the truth. Ok, maybe just 95%, but still, pretty straight.

As much as the NBA lives and breaths by it's players, much more so than other sports, it doesn't surprise me that favoritism is rampant. Football, it's all about the violence and the teams. I'm a lifelong Redskins fan and I probably wouldn't recognize half of this year's squad if I walked by them. Baseball sells the nostalgia, the teams and the overall experience. Hockey sells the action and violence. Basketball, it's all about the players. Of course the NBA wants the top stars to go deep in the playoffs every year. It sells more gear and provides better TV ratings.

I didn't see the 60 Minutes piece, but, when Donaghy's allegations and proposed book deal were revealed about 2 months ago, Phil Jackson readily admitted in an interview that stars get favorable treatment and said it's always been that way.

Don't know if he was fined or told to shut the f*ck up by David Stern, but he refused to discuss it any more after the initial comments.

NBA sure keen on "1st year all stars" this year. Most are JOKES!

LeBron James is a joke. Ship him off to Indianapolis. He couldn't carry Bob Cousy's jock.

Or Robert Horry's.

LOSER!!!

He was fined $35,000. Telling the truth is frowned on in the NBA it seems.

Lebron is the NBA's version of AFraud....sadly....sooner or later he will find an owner will buy him a title. That is why both MLB and the NBA are more like pro wrestling than being a real sports anymore. They are all about marketing and perception!

Nice job, zebras, slapping Kobe with 5 fouls in 2 1/2 quarters. LOVED Phil's reaction on the phantom 4th: "COME ON". How will the script play out? This is frigg'n BEYOND soap opera stuff!

Will one sentence of the game stories mention Ray Allen sitting all game 1 because of the zebras, or kobe sitting in game 2 for same reason.

Minutes played: Allen 43:30, Bryant 34.

Series 1-1.

Anybody wanna bet Boston loses game 3?

WWF is more puzzling...

Wait a minute, the Celtics were getting insane calls against them all night, especially against Garnett. Any time Kobe touches the ball, the whistle gets blown. So many phantom calls against Boston, I dont know where to begin. The worst is Derek Flopper...how does that third rate player still get away with his antics...worse then Divac.

Whoa, whoda thunk it? WHO COULD HAVE POSSIBLY IMAGINED that the NBA script would have had Boston up 3-2 heading back to LA, and OMG, the Lakers valiantly rose up and fended off the visitors to force a game 7.

Jeez, I mean, IMAGINE THAT?

The ONE thing that separates the NBA from the WWF is that in game 7 teams supposedly are allowed to tear up the script and fight it out.

OOOOH, I JUST can't WAIT!!!

http://www.nba.com/features/draft2007.html GAME FUCKING OVER! Barring major injuires, ring after ring after ring...etc.

and Martell Webster, Sergio Rodriguez, Jarett Jack, Travis Outlaw and dont forget one of the better PF in the league in Zach Randolph. I still think they need some veteran presence but the sky is the limit.

Nice to know Blazers sports genius extends beyond the NFL and fantasy baseball. He's truly a renaissance man?

Or maybe he was calling for Durant to win "ring after ring"?

Phil Jackson said it all in game 5: "They know how to lose!"

So Lebron to Miami.

I am betting Pat Riley will be the coach again soon...

Porker said it best [see above], "Lebron James is a joke".........-My Image-

By Don Marco on Friday, July 09, 2010 - 06:47 pm:  Edit

ditto that. While I never liked the Cav's, I would love to see them win a championship without the bum.

By Porker on Saturday, July 10, 2010 - 12:06 am:  Edit

I was joking about LeBron. Sounds like Beachman is your true idol re: James.

Cavs owner is a low class loser and his team resumes being the Original Clippers Joke of a Franchise.

James will never get his due by cherry picking his championship cast, though. Oh well...

By Don Marco on Saturday, July 10, 2010 - 06:10 pm:  Edit

He got his due last year...his ass kicked by the Celtics so that he quit 1/2 way through the series. For an elite athlete, that spells "low class loser" in my book.

It wasn't his shining moment. Hard WINNING as a one man team, though, isn't it?

Well, I take that back... Shaq's got count for 1/4 of a real player!

So a 1 1/4 man team?

By Don Marco on Monday, July 12, 2010 - 09:42 pm:  Edit

While falling short is excusable, quitting is not.

Philly up THIRTY EIGHT POINTS mid-3rd quarter AT ATL?

Reason # 11,412 not to bet on sports...

Hey, although I am pretty much not doing anything I still like this site and check in often. So now that its 2-2 with Miami and San Antonio, what do you guys pick? I just made a bet and got SA +1 1/2 for Sundays game. Although it isn't for me (its for my mom). Anyone think she's gonna go 18 large for a $20 bet?

By Quilombo on Sunday, June 16, 2013 - 12:39 pm:  Edit

I'm pulling for and picking the Spurs tonite. It's time for Manu Ginobili to break out of his funk and turn back the clock. I like your pick...
