Was thinking of music about mongering - the only
song I remember is one by ZZ Top called La Grange
on the album Tres Hombres. I found a copy and lo
and behold there's the famous Adelita holding the flag
picture inside the CD! Wonder where they got
the idea to use that! Guess they've been to TJ.
This is also pretty good music to fuck chicas to IMHO.
Is La Grange a real place?

Am waiting for William Shatner to cover THIS one. I'll try to indicate his dramatic pauses:
Pussy, Pussy... Dicky, DICKY...
Toungy, Toungy...
LICKY LICKY
(repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, etc.)
One, two, three, FOUR, all the LADIES on the FLOOR
(repeat, repeat, repeat)
(a lot of crap rap)
'Is it Juicy, is it TIGHT, is it GREEEN...
or is it RIPE!!!
BTW, The night I boned Grecia at Manhattan she danced to that song and it was deja vu all over again when I saw her shake her ass to this one after more than a year's absence in the Zona. And for the record, YEAH, it was juicy, YEAH, it was tight, etc.
They play this song a lot at T-K-CH in Monterrey. The 'group' is No Sukkaz.

For my part, I go to billboard.com and look at their charts. I go to the Latin singles, copy and paste all the titles and artists, then download them all from Kazaa. I then put together an MP3 CD with Latin, Dance (they also have charts there) and Rock n Roll. With 11 hours on a CD played randomly, you can be sure that both chica and monger find several enjoyable songs. I've also found a lot of latin artists that I like, and have gone on to buy quite a few CDs of the artists I like.

In my opinion, one of the best sites on the web for browsing and listening to music is Musicmatch Radio, featuring music of every style and from almost every artist you can think of. Go to www.musicmatch. com, download the free player, and then click on radio. You can browse or search for a style of music or for specific artists. It is a "radio station" format, so if you go to a particular artist's station, you will hear music by that artist and by other similar artists.
They have an outstanding selection of Latin music, as well as rock, pop, jazz, classical, etc. I think you can listen without joining, but only on low fidelity and I'm not sure if you can access all of the browse and search features, or save stations for furture listening. Their subscription fee is very reasonable, $3 or $4/mo., and you get CD quality sound.
Unfortunately, you cannot download the music as mp3's - it's strictly for listening. If you find music you like, you can buy the CDs or go to one of the MP3 sites such as Kazaa to search for available downloads.
If you're looking for music to listen to with chicas, most prefer romantic ballads (except for dancing to). My wife is Costa Rican. A few of her favorite artists include Juan Gabriel, Alejandro Fernandez, Ricardo Montaner, Marc Anthony, and Marco Antonio Solis - all of whom have stations on Musicmatch.

I do the same thing as Nononsensen but I cut and paste from 'LA'Ritmo and download it from iMesh.
I like 'LA'Ritmo because it breaks the music down into different gerne's such as:
Top 50 Salsa
Top 50 Mergengue
Top 50 Bachata
Top 15 Pop
Top 15 Cumbia
Their address is http://www.laritmo.com/
As far as KaZaA concerned I had problems on my last computer that I feel came from there so I started useing iMesh when I got a new one. I am happy with it up to this point.

There are definitely issues with Kazaa, especially in the area of knowing what they're doing in the background. Their license agreement includes a provision that you agree to let them install a program that can use your CPU when your system is inactive (though they haven't actually utilized that yet). I don't blame you for staying away from them. I like them a lot because they have such a huge user base. Since I've always looked at them closely, and disabled components from them in the past, I feel quite safe. Overall, I think they're a low risk.
I'll definitely be checking laritmo. Thanks for suggesting it.

A wild guess that Gabby at CC is now dancing to Madonna's 'Nobody's Perfect'. I'll find out in a couple weeks.

Porker, when I saw her dance a couple of weeks ago it was like entering a time capsule. Nothing had changed...draped in her belly dancing attire she wiggled it up and down for a few moments to exactly the same kind of music she belly danced to years ago...sounded an awful lot like Tarkan.
She brought the house down with it...never took anything off...guys stomping and screaming - made a tour of just about every table in the packed club and took away the largest accumulation of greenbacks I've ever witnessed in a TJ club. She will be spoiled all over again!

Funny story about the PRINCE of amusement, Ahora007: We're sitting in Roadhouse at happy hour (the ONLY time to go in that fucking place) in Angeles City, and Ahora's bitching incessantly about how the DJ is GAY and is only playing Celine Dion music (true enough). So Ahora, newly enriched by everyone's FAVORITE thing (the cash advance!) sends 50 pesos and a request list to the DJ, a list prominently featuring 'ANYTHING' by Sublime.
Said asswipe fairy DJ proceeds to bust out Brad Nowell's acoustic 'Rivers of Babylon'. Ahora's LIVID, and I'm LMAO because the gay DJ picked the ultimate FUCK YOU to his request, something you would NEVER expect in a place like Angeles Backwater City in the PI.
Of course one blue thunder and about 5 beers later Ahora and Bud were onstage at Las Vegas comparing weiner sizes.
I know Epi would roll his eyes and vomit, but I say GOOD TIMES!!!

Termas music is pretty ingrained in my head at this point. I've always been one to associate music with places that I've been, and there's any number of dance/hip hop mixes that instantly remind me of which termas I heard it in.
My favorite place pipes in decent music into the cabines, and since you mentioned Celine Dion, I will never be able to listen to "Power of Love" and a couple of her other sappy tunes (I don't know the names, popular Celine songs from the mid-90s) without instantly remembering cornholing one of my favs while my fav sang along (in horrible English) with the song.

In what has to be one of the more hilarious office Lao girl episodes. Former Lao girl #1 downloaded a Too Short rap mp3 of "my dick and my sack" at work yesterday. As she was blaring it in the office on her computer she was gleefully laughing hysterically and she apparently thought it was the greatest song ever recorded. Then she burned it on a CD and took her new found treasure out to share with all the other Lao ladies working in the shop. (many of whom are older and quite conservative) They all stopped working as office Lao girl changed the CD from the usual Thai and Lao music they play and blared.
So lick it now, lick it good, suck this dick just like you should
Right now, lick it good, suck my dick just like you should
Thats it, like that, lick my dick and my sack
Don't quit, like that, lick my dick and my sack
Yeah bitch, like that, lick my dick and my sack
Don't trip, like that, lick my dick and my sack
First you gotta take your tongue stick it out up and down, let it run
All around my dick and balls, let the spit drip from your jaws
Get hype wit it, it's your chance, squeeze my dick let it slide in your hands
Don't stop until you make me come, after me give my homeboy some
Bustin' nuts all in your face, open wide, I know you love that taste
The best head comes from real ho's , I get big like a dildo
The older Lao ladies were clearly shocked but fascinated at the same time so they blared it continuously about 8 more times before resuming their standard Thai and Lao pop music. It was as if they were staring at a car accident.
Office Lao girl lamented that there is not any Thai songs like that. It is clearly her new favorite song of all time.
Just another day in the office.

Has anyone compiled a partial song list that is often played in gogo bars (SEA)?
I'm interested in filling my ipod to the brim...

My mistake...I was capitalizing "Jimmy."
So, I can play the music; how do I download?

Single left click the little arrow on the right side of the playlist and the download window opens (it takes a few seconds sometimes) .

Sugarbabes "push the button" is easily the #1 song in AC right now. KM mentioned that awhile back. The video's pretty cool.

I must have heard that song about 20 times a night. Each time it came on EVERY barfined dancer in the audience had to jump up on stage and do their individual performances. My girls from Classroom all had a choreographed dance for that song which they did in the bar and were sooo sexy. They attracted a lot of attention and I got a lot of stares from the guys who saw my harem !! That song brings back a lot of memories. The show girls in Blue Nile also do a very sexy routine to it.
Damn I gotta get back to AC soon !!!!

I was kind of partial to the Pussycat Dolls "Don't Cha" myself. Wish I was sitting in an AC bar sipping a cool one listening to either song about now...

That was one of the few oft repeated songs I actually enjoyed. Great song. I got a kick out of watching some of the fat ugly cows lipsynching the lyrics and apparently actually believing I wished my girlfriend was "as hot as them". hehe
