Tight_fit:

You are doing this very thoroughly. Good job!

Few remarks:

At something O' clock is "as" with a backward accent on the a. No effect on pronounciation, though.

"pedir" is "ask" as in "request" not as in "question" (just in case someone is not familiar with it).

"gostar" always requires the preposition "de", hence "Eu gostaria de comer". BTW, "precisar" (need or need to) requires "de" with nouns, but not with verbs.

Wow. You just answered several questions I had concerning the "de" after gostar and precisar. Also, I was wondering about pedir since the word is the same in Spanish with the same sense of requesting. I have been looking for the word "to ask" as in questioning but the translator sites keep returning pedir. Incidentally, they also will not show precisar even though you can work backwards and get "to need". They always use nessitar. I finally found "to look", olhar, since, as a voyeur, that's a word I seriously need. I kept getting procurar which is a totally different meaning. However, maybe I do need to spend a little less time olhando and more time procurando if I am ever going to find a real amiga. :-)

To ask (as in question) is perguntar. To ask a question is fazer uma pergunta.

Procure, sim. Mas procure uma namorada :-)
