There's a very good story on "heirheads" in the NYTimes this Sunday (Nov. 16th). Among other things, points out the irony of the fact that the exclusive rich elite people now want to parade their exclusivity around on MTV and HBO; and refers to Paris Hilton as a combination of Uma Thurman, a borzoi, and Robert Plant circa 1972. Funny.

The thing that gets me about all these people is, of course, first of all, my jealousy. I don't have the dough to hob-nob with them, or to spend it frivolously like they do, and I don't enjoy finding out just how "not" I am relative to the "haves". Then, add to that the fact that Paris' demeanor, attitude, and general appearance all say not only money but also beauty, and I'm a ball of frustrated hatred.

Her appearance and her slutty clothing suggest, "Here's what you want, and furthermore, I sometimes give it away for free, and you'll never know when or where I'm going to decide to do that next because YOU CAN'T GUESS just how frivolous and unpredictably flighty I'm going to be."
