From now on the "politically correct" term is "server/client"
or "hobbyist/provider"
Sheesh

We have to be politically correct to computers now. This is ridiculous.
Not just in computing, but in electronics it is common to call something a master xxx and a slave xxx. It gets the idea across easily. So in L.A. we have to be 'sensitive due to the racial diversity'? Man, we have to be so super Politically Correct while at the same time the African Americans makes millions from Gansta rap and movies glorifying Pimping and the Gansters lifestyle and calling women bitches. That's what corrodes our society, not when we call a computer something.

Soooo ... you're suggesting that instead of the ol' tried-and-true "master" and "slave" designations with which we are all so familiar, Dick, you're suggesting we should use -- now let me get this straight -- "pimp" and "ho"?
I think you have something there.![]()

Besides which, a server/client computing relationship is different from a master/slave computing relationship - clients make requests from servers, whereas master systems make requests (orders, to be exact) of slave systems. So not only is this PC bullshit ridiculous, it's bad computer terminology. Ah...only in Amerika!
;-)

Something tells me that S/M relationships just aren't going to be the same if they have to use "Client" and "Server".
Imagine: "Crawl for me, you miserable client and serve your server well"
Just doesn't have the same cache....

Mind you, back in the office, you can get away with "Yeah, we'd better pimp this computer to those ho devices."

W88, lol I'm merely saying the use of Master/slave shouldn't be banned from vocabulary.
Britney told me she can't say she's a slave for me anymore.(I wish)
