4. It is better by taxi. - É melhor de táxi.
5. By taxi you can get there faster. - De táxi você pode chegar lá mais depressa.
6. It is better for me because it costs less money. - É melhor para mim por que custa menos dinheiro.
7. That is much better for me. - Isso é muito melhor para mim.
8. How’s the weather? Is it good? - Como é o tempo. É bom?
9. Is the weather bad? - O tempo é ruin?
10. The weather is good hopefully. - O tempo é bom tomara.
11. Could you send me a letter? - Você poderia me mandar uma carta?
12. You can write me. - Você pode me escrever.

The weather is “é” if you are speaking in terms of how it is as a semipermanent condition. If you are refering to it as how it is at the moment than you use “está”. If you are talking about hot or cold then you use “faz”. “Faz frio/calor” means “it is cold/hot”.
