Bernard Trink is the "Nite Owl" who wrote a column about the bar scene of Bangkok in the Bangkok Post for about 40 years or so before recently being fired. He now writes at idontgiveahoot.net.

It was reported on the news that Paul Johnson's wife was Thai.
Also, in the video footage of Nick Berg at home showed him in Thailand/Bangkok T-Shirts.

Not to be too irreverant , but if he had a Thai wife ,AND was a frequent visitor to NEP, he was overdue for some type of beheading !! They just got the big head first.
