Iīm looking for a portable DVD player that also plays CD/MP3 disks, but hereīs the rub: I donīt want one with a screen, I only want to be able to hook it up to television sets. I also want to be able to listen to MP3s while in transit.
The nearest thing Iīve been able to come with is by Koss, but it doesnīt run on batteries, and I was hoping it wouldnīt have to be much bigger than my current player, which is about the size of a hamburger.
The ultimate doodad would be a DVD/CD-R burner that not only hooks up to the USB port of my laptop, but also functions as stand-alone player.
Anybody know of anything like this?

"Does this model run on batteries as well (for in transit MP3 use)?"
I don't know much about this portable dvd. From the description on the eBay seller's page, it doesn't look like it runs on batteries.
Personally, I'm a little leery of this product. I'm just not sure of its quality since I can't find any reviews on it and the manufacturer / brand name is unknown to me. But if you can get it for ~$50, it won't be too much of a financial risk should something go wrong with it.
Although it's considerably more expensive and it comes with a screen, I'd recommend the Polaroid Portable DVD Player #0700. It comes with instructions on how to make it zone -free using the remote control. I've seen it for sale at Best Buy for $180.

Whoa Bendejo!
I never wrote that it was a "piece of crap."
I wrote that - "I'm not sure of its quality since I couldn't find any reviews on it and the manufacturer / brand name is unknown to me." Where do you read in that sentence or anywhere else in my posting that I'm calling it a "piece of crap"? WHERE, WHERE, WHERE DO YOU READ THAT?
I did write that it's an unknown product to me, but it has many of the features that you're looking for at an affordable price.
I was simply trying to help you by giving you a possible option. It might not meet all your needs or wants, but it seemed close and cheap at around ~$50.
I also take offense that you claim that I gave it a buy recommendation. Again, where do you read in my post that I recommend it to you or anyone else to buy it. WHERE, WHERE, WHERE DO YOU READ THAT?
Jeez, this is the last time I respond to any of your postings.
