Excellent Xen.
The only thing clear about GW is that he is a puppet for the real power brokers who surround him-- The religious right and the multinational CEOs .He just lip syncs their thoughts.

What a weasal.

First he says the terror war cannot be won. Now it can be won.

Boy I sure wish this guy would stand for something. :-)

"President Bush (news - web sites) said on Tuesday the war on terror could be won by America and explained away an earlier comment that it could not be by blaming his lack of articulation."

I guess good "articulation" isn't a quality for being President. He seems to have a lot of problems in this area.

How about his lack of brains? Maybe that's a more plausible excuse for claiming the war on terror can't be won.

By Wombat88 on Wednesday, September 01, 2004 - 07:22 am:  Edit

Actually, the war on terror can not be won. You can supress and control it, but the fact remains that terror works and people will continue to use it. Case in point: the United States government.

Oh my goodness. Bush has flip-flopped AGAIN!

"The Pentagon (news - web sites) has begun tapping into its $25 billion emergency fund for the Iraq (news - web sites) war to prepare for a major troop rotation and intense fighting this fall, administration officials said on Tuesday, despite the White House's initial insistence that it had enough money."

"The Pentagon has already used more than $2 billion from what the White House dubbed its "contingency reserve" fund for Iraq. The money is being used to ramp up production of armored Humvees to support the troop rotation, as well as to buy body armor and bolster fuel supplies, the officials told Reuters."

"The decision to use the $25 billion in Iraq reserves underscores concern within the administration about the rise in anti-American violence in Iraq."

"The decision follows last week's announcement that President Bush (news - web sites) plans to divert nearly $3.5 billion from Iraqi water, power and other reconstruction projects to improve security."

The White House had initially asserted it would not need additional war funding until January or February, 2005 -- well after the November presidential election.

First you HAVE enough money. Then you DON'T have enough money.

...intense fighting this fall...

"this fall" meaning after the election. A major offensive will either risk the lives of many soldiers, kill a lot of innocent civilians, or both. Winning re-election is much more important to Bush than taking any significant actions now or giving an honest assessment of the worsening situation or escalating cost.

In 2003, George Bush said that he would fire the leakers. Now it turns out that Bush authorized the leaks. So, does that mean that Bush will fire himself?

By Explorer8939 on Friday, April 07, 2006 - 05:19 pm:  Edit

Too bad there isn't a president election this year, I mean, who would vote for this guy?

Never underestimate the power of stupidity.

By Explorer8939 on Saturday, April 08, 2006 - 09:15 am:  Edit

"I never had sex with that woman" - Bill Clinton.

"I will find the real killers" - OJ

"We find the leakers and fire them" - George Bush.

After 9/11 Dubya vowed that the destruction caused by the terrorists who leveled the World Trade Center, the Pentagon (partial), the White House (almost) ... would not alter the American way of life with its freedom first format.

Well ... Osama must be laughing his ass off!

Look what Osama has caused.

You have to show up an hour earlier than usual to take an airplane flight, given the scanners, check the handbags, check bulky clothing etc just prior to boarding an airplane.

Try attending a sports event. Scanners, pat-downs, no carry-ins into the stadium, etc.

Mongers who just wanna return from a weary night of whoring around ... instead of just asking us where we were born ... nowadays long lines and showing drivers licenses, extra questions, extra searches.

Soon we will have to obtain passports to go on fuck runs. Those passports are expensive. Post Office rates are between $100 - $200, ouch!

And pretty soon Congress, trying to so-call secure our borders ... is about to give the boot to 11 million immigrants. Those folks are the staple of my entire lifestyle.

Cheap food!
Without cheap farm labor the cost of tomatoes that constitute ketchup for my burgers ... goes up.

Tomatoes that make up our salsa on tacos and burritos also goes up.

Cheap lodging.
The immigrant labor housekeepers etc keep the price of places like Motel 6 and all no-tels inexpensive. Ouch!

Cheap fast food.
Undocumented labor keeps the value menu at 99cents. If the migrants are gone the value menu rises to at least $1.49

Building an inpregnable double fence along the 700 mile long southern border is a horrible indictment on America's new value system menu.

Putting Americans in jail for 6 months for hiring illegals ... all because Dubya flip flopped on his promise to track down and kill Osama ... and fears terrorists coming into the country (to get him?).

This guy Osama has changed everything we Americans do here in the USA (and TJ).

Instead of booting out 11 million migrants and fucking up a perfectly good country ...

maybe giving Dubya the boot makes more sense.

One fucker, Osama, sneaks some plastic box-cutter knifes onto several planes on 9/11 ... and 5 years later he has changed everything about this country.

Incredible!
