No doubt many Labor Day travellers have learned that all flights thru Miami were cancelled since midday Friday. At present, we've got sustained winds of 60 mph with gusts to 80-90mph and the eye of the storm is about 40 miles offshore from us.
At least MitchC was able to change his flight to get to Brazil on Thursday. Bang one for the gipper Mitchee

Thanks Hemp. I feel a lot better after learning that I've gone outside in the 80-90 mph winds so I've been blown plenty hard.
Power and cable has been out since noon Saturday. I'm on a laptop with a dial-up connection. Lowcurrent flashlight nearby. Battery operated radio going with the news. Funny how many emergency items I had in my gigbag after so many trips to Havana where the power goes out at least once every trip. I've even inflated a few nonlubricated condoms to create that hurricaneparty festive feel.
I confess that I would much rather be reporting on conquering nubile tail than this. Mitchee is off in Brazil, missing the storm while I'm holed up in a dark stuffy bunker, further proof that marriage is a bad idea.
