I am still going to PI and Thailand although I am not sure yet just when. I have 1 week off in September 21-27. Where would be the best place for a short trip Panama or Costa Rica?

Costa Rica would easily be my choice. The 7day/24hr Blue Marlin Bar is a perfect setup for the newbie hobbyist and many of the establishments are in the nearby.

Another benefit is the more diverse selection in CR. Besides locals, you'll find lots of Dominicanas, Colombianas, and Panamanians. You'll also find some Russians and scattered ladies from other countries, mostly Central America.

Panama can be enjoyable, but I'd consider it significantly farther down the list of places to visit.

Dustyfog, if you speak some Spanish, visit the mother-lode, Colombia!

DF, I'm in Panama now and agree wtih Vlad that it shouldn't be your first choice, expensive and the girls are a bit jaded. Costa Rica is decent for a short trip and the scenery outside the city is beautiful, but way too crowded w/ mongers at Blue Marlin IMO (espec. weekend) and it can get a bit expensive. If I were you, I'd bite the bullet and go to CTG. By far the prettiest gals in Costa Rica and Panama are from Colombia IMO.

I have to agree with Vlad and Merlin. I am a Panama vet with 18 weeks in the past 1.5 years. Panamanian women are jaded and will do as little as it takes to get the juice out of you and then depart with as much cash as they can. CR would be better and Colombia would be best.

Here's a little story from two weeks ago in Miami Club. The second cutie that I was with (body was a solid 8...face was about a 6) told me she was Colombian as was the first chica I started a conversation with. The second chica asked if I had ever been to Colombia and I told her I had not. She then said in spanish "You see most of the girls here are from Colombia. You should go there. These girls are pretty, but in Colombia they are even prettier and it cost much, much less for sex." She got points from me on her honesty.
