I hope you are hard at work doing your trip report but here are some pictures of the Spyder Hawk, the open loop is a fun modification. I have also included some of favouret pocket knifes as compared to the Applegate-Fairbairn. The A-F compate Knife, some believe is the best fighting knife in the world.

are they high tech stealth as in invisible?

Holy shit!! I could really cut up myself with those knives.

I was going to post some photos of my knife collection, but I figured you already knew what a set of Ginshu knives looked like.

Perhaps I should stick with my SOG.

Glad that you liked the pic's. Ginshu knives, I have seen them on TV kind of like SOGs but you get a free set of steak knifes, just kidding. I just visited a friend who collects Japanese swords, the real McCoy mostly a few hundred years old. Great stuff. I will be in the States at the end of July on my way to Rio, so if you want anything from SA give me a shout. Seriously you have to try some SA wine among other things...
